Kiara just woke up when they arrive at the facility, she heard Nick is still alive and Natasha is there already.

Steve gently helps Kiara to get out of the car. 'You're gonna be okay.' He says and gives her a kiss on her forehead.

A man comes running to them.

'GSW. Mutible stab wounds and a light bruised rib. She's lost at least a pint.' Miara explains.

'Maybe two.' Sam adds.

'Let me take her.' The man says.

'She'll want to see him first.' Maria explains.

They walk into a room where Natahsa is sitting beside a bed with Nick on it.

'Nick.' Kiara says

'About damn time.' He says.

The man is taking care of the biggest wound from Kiara after he cleaned all the little one's

'Lacerated spinal column, cracked sternum, shattered collarbone, perforated liver and one hell of a headache.' Nick explains.

'Don't forget your collapsed lung.' The man adds.

'Let's not forget that. Otherwise, I'm good.'

'They cut you open. Your heart stopped.' Kiara says, her voice breaking at the last word.

'Tetrodotoxin B. Slows the pulse to one beat a minute. Bsnner developed it for stress. Didn't work so great for him, but we found a use for it.' Nick explains.

'Why all the secrecy? Why not just tell us?' Steve asks.

'Any attempt on the Director's life had to look succesful.' Maria explains.

'Can't kill you if you're already dead. Besides, I wasn't sure who to trust.'

'He did this to you.' Natasha says.

'There was a woman too, on the road, when Hydra attacked me.'

'A woman?' Kiara asks.

'Yeah. With very similar powers are you, but less powerfull I guess.'

They all sit around the table, looking at pictures of Pierce.

'This man declined the Nobel Peace Prize. He said peace wasn't an achievement, it was a responsibility.' Nick says. 'See, it's stuff like this that gives me trust issues.'

'We have to stop the launch.' Natasha says.

'I don't think the Council's accepting my calls any more.' Nick says while he opens a case.

'What's that?' Sam asks.

'Once the helicarriers reach 3,000 feet, they'll triangulate with Insight satellites, becoming fully weaponised.' Maria says.

'We need to breach those carriers and replace their targeting blades with our own.' Nick adds.

'One or two won't cut it. We need to link all three carriers for this to work, because if even one of those ships remains operational, a whole lot of people are gonna die.'

'We have to assume everyone aboard those carriers is Hydra. We have to get past them, insert these server blades. And maybe, just maybe we can salvage what' left . . .' Nick says, but is being cut off by Steve.

'We're not salvaging anything. We're not just taking down the carriers  Nick. We're taking down S.H.I.E.L.D.'

'S.H.I.E.L.D. has nothing to do with this.'
