Four months later Steve and Kiara found a nice home in Louisiana. It's a big house with a big yard. It's nicely closed off from the rest of Louisiana with no prying eyes from any paparazzi.

They even got a dog since Sarah was begging for it over and over again. Eventually Steve and Kiara faltered and went to an animal shelter and they picked out a dog together and named him Dodger.

Sarah's currently playing with Dodger in their big backyard as Kiara's watching, sitting on the stairs that leads to the front door of the house.

Then Kiara hears footsteps on the stairs. 'Hi, babe.' She says. 'How were Sam and Mia?' She asks.

'Hi sweetheart.' Steve says and gives her a quick kiss and then sits down next to her. 'They were good. They finally moved into that house in Dallas.'

'Finally!' Kiara says. 'They've had their sights on that house for what, a month now?' She asks.

'Yeah.' Steve confirms. 'A month. They finally moved the last of their stuff into the house.'

'Good for them.' Kiara says with a smile. 'They're good for each other.'

'They are.' Steve says.

'But they didn't retire right?' Kiara asks.

'No.' Steve says. 'Why are you asking, baby?' He asks.

'Because Dallas is about 20 hours away from New York, just like Louisiana.' Kiara says. 'Now it works for us because we're retired, but they aren't. So what are they gonna do when they have a mission?'

'Well, believe it or not, but Tony played mad scientist and figured out how to create portals to anywhere you want when you touch a button.' Steve says. 'I still don't understand how he did it.'

'Yeah, he was talking to me about that.' Kiara says. 'Can't believe he pulled it off.'

'Sam gave me one, too, by the way.' Steve says as he takes it out of his pocket. 'Just in case.' He says.

Kiara looks at it. 'Amazing.' She says softly.

'I heard the good news from Bucky.' Steve says.

Kiara smiles widely. 'Oh yeah, they're coming for dinner tonight. We're celebrating that the adoption is finally being approved.'

Steve smiles and kisses her temple. 'Amazing. What are we eating?'

'Believe it or not but they're taking a full Mc Donalds dinner with them.' Kiara says.

'Let me guess, Bucky was in the mood for it?' Steve says.

'Yep, in fact he insisted.' Kiara says as she laughs. 'They should be here around 7pm.'

Steve nods. 'Good. That means I can enjoy this moment for a bit longer.' He says as he looks at Sarah playing with Dodger. 'She really loves that dog, huh?'

Kiara smiles. 'Yes, she does.' She says as she looks at the two of them playing. 'Best decision we've made.'

'Damn right.' Steve says as he kisses Kiara's temple and puts an arm around her. 'Missed you today.' He whispers.

'Missed you, too, Steve. I'm not used to you not being around.' Kiara says. 'None of us are.'

'I know.' Steve whispers, his lips now close enough to brush against Kiara's. 'I managed to sneak past Sarah so I could hold you for a while but I have a feeling we'll be busted soon.'

Kiara chuckles and Steve pulls her in for a kiss, his hand moving to the back of her neck to deepen it. Just as his tongue swipes across her bottom lip, a loud noise interrupts them.

'Daddy! You're home!'

Kiara chuckles into Steve's mouth when she hears a little girl running full speed from the garden up the stairs. She jumps into Steve's lap.

Steve laughs. 'Hi, honey.' He says.

Not very later Dodger comes running to them, too, licking Steve around his face making Sarah giggle. Kiara leans in and places a kiss on Sarah's forehead.

Kiara, Steve, Natasha and Bucky are sitting around the dinner table and Steve has Sarah sitting in his lap while he's holding Kiara's hand as they listen to Natasha and Bucky.

'We're naming her Emma. She's a little under a year old.' Natasha says as she shows them a picture of a baby girl, looking up at the camera with big green eyes. 'She's currently in an orphanage but we're brining her home next week.'

Kiara smiles as she looks at the picture of the baby girl. 'She's beautiful, Nat. Absolutely beautiful. She's perfect.'

Natasha nods and chuckles when Kiara hands the picture back to her. 'Yes, she is. James and I are even looking for a house nearby.'

'Jesus, at this rate the compound will be empty.' Kiara says.

Natasha looks at Bucky, who's smiling at her lovingly.

'I think it's a great plan.' Steve says as he squeezes Kiara's hand. 'We'd love to have you closer. What are you planning to do about work?'

'Nick and I are talking about it. But I might retire. Or at least work a lot less than I do now.' Natasha says.

Kiara raises her eyebrows in surprise. 'Really? I never thought you'd be a stay at home mom.' She says.

'I can say the same thing about you, Tremors.' Natasha says with a chuckle.

'Got me there.' Kiara says as she chuckles. 'Once you have kids, priorities change.' She says as she looks at Sarah, who's playing with the fingers of Steve's other hand. 'Kids change everything.'

Natasha watches Kiara with a soft smile as she nods. 'They do. And you two have been the greatest example of that. Sometimes it's still hard to believe that the two of you are playing house all day.' She says.

Kiara laughs and so do Steve and Bucky.

'Sometimes we can't believe it either.' Steve says as he looks at his daughter and then at Kiara. 'But it feels right. Like I told Kiara on our honeymoon, I've dreamt of this kind of life with her ever since we shared our first kiss way back in the 40s.'

'I get that.' Bucky says. 'We both spent so many years giving our lives up to protect others, just like you two. I think it is time we too tried to live a normal life like you and Steve.'

'Who knew James actually had it in him?' Kiara says with a smile. 'You deserve it, James. In fact you both do.' She says.

'And believe me, Pal.' Steve says as he looks at Bucky, then at Sarah and Kiara and then back at Bucky again. 'It's totally worth it. There's nowhere else I would rather be than right here with my two best girls.'
