~Flashback chapter~
Part 2

Kiara storms into her room as Steve follows her. They have been disagreeing about that Kiara has been putting her life at risk getting rid of Hydra more and more.

'It is not my fault, Steve!' Kiara says as she turns around.

'Yes, it is! You should have asked for back up on that mission!' Steve says as he slams the door close.

'I handeld myself perfectly fine! I don't need back up on every, damn mission!'

'It is if you're taking on Hydra! Do you have any idea how dangerous they are?!'

'I know that, Steve. Why did you think I went in alone?! The less people, the less attention!'

'You almost died! Again!'

'Yeah, "almost!" I didn't die, Steve! Stop making a big deal over it!'

'Do you even care about your own life?!'

'Of course I do! I'm just doing our job because that's what we signed up for remember?!'

'Of course I remember! I lost you once and I can't do that again!'

'You know I'm a trained asassin and a spy, right?! I can handle myself!'

'Yeah, you handeld yourself perfectly fine when you fell of a train!'

Steve regrets what he said in an instant. He knows Kiara has trouble with her memories. Especially this one. Because this is the reason she suffred all those years in the Red Room.

Kiara quickly wipes a tear that fell down after he said those words as she walks past him to the door.

'Please stay.' Steve pleaded. 'I'm sorry.'

Kiara doesn't turn around, instead she opens the door. She is about to walk out when Steve says, 'I love you.'

She stops for a second and then walks out of the door. She runs outside as fast as she can to clear her head, his words still piercing through her brain.

That night she packs her bags. Not because of what happend with Steve, but because she remembered what Whitehall said to her in Switzerland. She texts someone she trusts who can help her get an small apartment until she finds something better.

Kiara doesn't say anything to anyone because she knows they will stop her if she says why she's running away. Instead she writes a note saying how sorry she is and this is the last thing she wanted to do, she lays it down on the kitchen counter and leaves the tower.

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter. The next one will be longer than this one.
