A Shadow of His Former Self

Radio noise is heard as the camera fades from black. Caboose is standing behind Tucker.

Tucker: Come in, Blue Command. This is Blood Gulch Outpost Alpha. Do you read me?

"Oh good. We're gonna see how the Blue army is run." Sasha said. "Hopefully, we'll get some more answers on what this war is about." Dipper said.

Caboose: Okay, that is the last of it. Your armor is clean now!

Tucker: Did you get all the black stuff off?

More radio noise is heard. Cut to Vic sitting at his control panel.

Vic: This is Blue Command. Come in, Blood Gulch Outpost Alpha.

"Wow! ....He looks...... really weird." Sprig said as he sees the crazy looking guy on screen. "Well it is an old game. So I would imagine this is what the humans look like in this games graphic." Marcy said. "Honestly, it looks better then most games I've seen from the early 2000's." Anne said. "I don't know. The legend of Zelda: Wind Waker was pretty." Luz said. "Oh! I loved that game!" Molly said. "I liked Breathe of the wild!" Marcy said.

"I never played any of the legend of Zelda games. Are they any good?" Star asks. "Yeah, I actually have the Twilight Princess back home." Marco said. "Cool!"

Tucker: Hello, Command! We need help!

Vic: Roger that, Blood Gulch. What is your request?

Tucker: I don't know what the technical military term is for it, but, uh, we're pretty fucked up down here. We need men!

Vic: (pauses) Dude, how long have you guys been down there?

"Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!" Almost Everyone laughed after he said that. "I guess Tucker should've worded that better." Luz said. "I don't get it?" Molly says. "I think it's an old joke. You wouldn't really get it." Anne explained. "Yeah, it's an old gay joke." Luz explained. "Oohhh.... Can you explain it?" "Maybe later." Molly says which Amity answers.

Tucker: No, no, no, n-not like that! We need more men to help us.

Vic: Roger that. Did you get the tank we sent?

Tucker: Yeah, that got blown up too.

Vic: Wow. Sucks to be you.

"Very professional." Marco said. "And yet it's very true." Luz said.

Tucker: Yeah, we know.

Vic: Okay, here's what I can do. The nearest Blue forces can be there in 16 days, or I-

Tucker: 16 days!? That's almost 2 weeks!

"That's a little bit more then 2 weeks, but still!?" Anne said. "Yeah, that's way to far for reinforcements to even be at incase of emergencies." Sasha said.

Vic: OR I can hire a nearby Freelancer and get him there within a few hours.

Caboose: I like the "in an hour" one.

"The hour one is a good option." Star said. "What's a freelancer?" Sprig asks. "It's a person who isn't tied to one company. They work for anyone and they work at home or at a non traditional workplace." Marcy explained. "Although for this case, it's another word for mercenary." Dipper said.

Tucker: Yeah, me too. Roger that, Command. We prefer the quicker solution.

Vic: 10-4, Blood Gulch. We'll contact Freelancer Tex and have them there post-haste. Command out.
