Five minutes later, Lee Know knocked on the interrogation room door, and let himself in. Han stumbled into the room behind him. The moment Lee Know entered the room, his hands went to his hips. "I've heard that someone got themselves concussed."

"I did what?" Kiera turned her face to the side to face Lee Know.

"You gave yourself a concussion. Congratulations. Maybe try not to run away and escape by climbing up a tree next time, hmm?"

Kiera rolled her eyes and let out a sigh.

Lee Know chuckled and walked over to the duffel bag. "Chan gave me specific instructions to clean up the cuts and scrapes on your legs."

"I'm capable of doing that myself."

"So do it then."

Kiera started to sit up, but a wave of dizziness hit her. She squeezed her eyes shut and slipped back down onto the table. A few colorful curse words escaped her mouth which caused Lee Know to chuckle again. Felix gently patted her hand.

"So maybe I'm not quite capable of doing it myself at the moment. I can do it in a while."

"Just lay there and look pretty, alright?" Lee Know grabbed a pair of blue latex gloves out of a box and moved down to her legs to disinfect them. "Try not to move, so we can get this done and over with."

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. Just go ahead and do it already."

"Don't say I didn't warn you because this is going to sting."

"Wait, wha-" Before Kiera could get out a response, Lee Know squirted hydrogen peroxide into multiple tiny cuts. A screech of pain ripped through the air.

Multiple rooms over, Changbin sat down in front of a desktop computer. His fingers flew across the screen as he typed in his password. Chan sat directly behind him. On a black leather couch in the background, Hyunjin doodled in his sketchbook. Seungmin and I.N were outside taking care of the cop's body, his radio, and his car.

"Are you going to tell me what this is about yet?" Chan furrowed his brows and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Just let me load it up and show you. You know how I'm part of that one sniper group?"

"The hit-man group?" Chan raised an eyebrow.

Changbin nodded. His fingers flew over the keyboard. He clicked the mouse a few times and pulled up his email inbox.

Ever since getting out of the military, Changbin had been far removed from his thoughts and feelings. When one of his former military buddies decided to start an undercover hit-man group, he couldn't resist. It was a great way to keep his sniping skills in shape. Plus, he could stay in contact with his old friends.

They were an anonymous group that could be hired. They listed encrypted listings on the dark web and if you managed to decode them, you could hire their group. There were twelve men involved in total and they were scattered throughout the United States.

Most of the jobs, Changbin turned them down. Most of them, in his eyes, were stupid. The jobs didn't pay enough either. He wasn't okay with killing someone because they had broken up or cheated on their significant other. He wasn't okay with killing people over petty disagreements either.

Most of the people he killed, he had done it because he followed Chan. The pedophiles, the abusive assholes, the ones that carved their own twisted darkness into the world, he took them out because he could. The world needed to be riddled of its filth and he had the skills to do it.

"When we get job offers, we get the victim's first and last name. Plus, we get the person who wants the job completed, we get their first and last name, and a copy of their ID. If a job goes sideways, we have to know who to come after. I got an email this morning from one of my friends about a job offer."

He clicked on an email that he had flagged as important. Behind them, Hyunjin put his sketchbook down, so he could hear what was happening. Chan leaned in over Changbin's shoulder, so he could read the email.

'Hey, isn't this the president's daughter? And it's coming from the vice-president? Oh man, this shit is fucking crazy.'

Down below was an attached image of a photograph of Kiera. Her first and last name along with a small description of why they wanted her to be killed. Chan's eyes widened in shock as he read all the information.

"The vice president placed a hit on Kiera?"

Hyunjin forced himself up off the couch and scrambled to look over Changbin's other shoulder. "Wait, what? What happened? What's going on?"

"From what this says, Philip Brooks, the vice-president, placed a hit out on Kiera. He wants her killed because she supposedly leaked the information to the public about her mother's affair which led to her mom's assassination." Changbin clicked on another photo which showed the front and back photograph of Philip's government ID.

"But we did that?" Hyunjin shook his head. "Why does he think that she did it? There's never been any proof that she did it."

"Because this isn't him," Chan spoke up.

"What? What do you mean? This is his government ID." Changbin turned to look at Chan.

"Why would the vice-president give out a hit on the president's daughter? The risks are so high. This could be easily exposed to the public and his job is gone. Why would he risk that?"

"Because he's a fucking dumbass?" Hyunjin offered.

"Or maybe because this isn't him and someone is covering their tracks."

"But who would have access to Philip's ID? We know this is his. It's been run through the DMV database and this photograph of him matches his DMV photo exactly. All the information adds up perfectly. What are you implying, Chan?"

"Didn't Kiera say her father likes to be in control? He has no idea where she is right now. He doesn't know who she's talking to or what she's doing. She left the white house willingly and yet all the media outlets are saying she's been kidnapped. He's been rewriting the story behind the scenes."

"So this means...?"

"If Kiera Campbell gets killed, he doesn't have to worry about what she's doing anymore. He doesn't have to worry about his daughter exposing his abuse and neglect to the public. If something happens and this information here gets exposed, it just creates more pity for him. Haven't you seen how everyone reacted to his wife's assassination? Now his daughter is missing."

"He's just playing the public for sympathy," Chan continued. "This takes out Kiera and if the vice-president steps out of line, he can use this to bring him down too. He'll be the last man standing."

"Are you hearing yourself?" Hyunjin scoffed. "You're making crazy assumptions! We don't know if any of that is true."

"We know that Kiera Campbell is supposed to be murdered and that's all we need to focus on right now. Changbin, email your buddy back, do anything you can to get that job. Do you understand me?"

Changbin nodded his head and hit the response button on the email.

"From now on, Kiera can't leave our sight. If we want to bring down Willie, we've gotta keep her alive."

"You still haven't told us how," Hyunjin pointed out.

"Patience is a virtue!" Chan snapped. He let out a sigh and closed his eyes before reopening them. "I'll explain everything after the presidential press conference on Thursday."
