"Your dad truly is a cunt," Seungmin was the first one to break the heavy blanket of silence. "I might not like you, but that's fucked up. Just for that alone, I wish Changbin would snap his neck."

"You and I both," Changbin mumbled.

Kiera didn't dare utter a word. In her eyes, her fate had been sealed for her. Changbin was part of the assassination group. Surely, it wouldn't take long for them to turn on her. Changbin would kill her and the price on her head was probably high. They might all split the money.

Lee Know picked up on Kiera's silent dread. He lightly elbowed her in the rib cage and bent down towards her ear. "Don't look so glum, we're not going to kill you." His voice came out in a soft whisper. "Nobody here is going to hurt you."

She weakly nodded, but didn't take her eyes off the plate in front of her. It didn't make her feel any better about the situation at hand. Deep down, she figured that she'd eventually return back to the white house. She'd go back and finish her college courses. She was supposed to graduate this spring anyway.

She'd be able to find a steady job and make and sell her artwork in her free time. Without her mom's presence, she was hoping that her dad would forget about making her get married to someone. She wanted to move out and find her own place.

This whole situation had thrown a cold bucket of water on her fire. She couldn't return home even if she wanted to. Returning home was now considered to be a death wish. Her father would force her to go out with him and she'd perish just like her mother.

"In other news," Chan said, "there's going to be a press conference on Thursday addressing the kidnapping of Kiera Campbell. A little birdie gave me the inside scoop and announced that Willie is still out to get us. It turns out he's blaming us for this whole kidnapping thing."

"Are we even surprised anymore?" Seungmin grumbled.

"But," Chan continued, "Willie isn't telling the exact truth. His story is a little far fetched from reality. Sure, we might have kidnapped Kiera, but we certainly didn't kill her because she's still right here with us."

"What?"

"Huh?"

"He's going to tell everyone we killed her?"

A mixture of voices filled the air. Chan held up his hands to get everyone to quiet down. "The good news is that very few people know who we are. Most people don't know us and it's going to stay that way. Willie is going to announce that we've killed Kiera and we refuse to give her body back to him, so he can bury her."

"How do you know that?" Kiera asked.

"I have a few connections inside the white house. I have eyes and ears in multiple places," Chan shrugged. "It's one of the few perks about being well-known in the crime community."

Kiera narrowed her eyes at him. That meant nothing to her. She hadn't known Chan at all, but then again, she wasn't a criminal. He glanced over and his eyes met hers. He cocked his head over towards her. An unnerving smile started to appear across his face.

Her eyes searched his face. Something about the smile seemed awfully familiar, but she couldn't put her finger on it. She swore she had seen it before, but she didn't know where. She frowned and pulled her eyes away and then froze.

Across the way, Hyunjin had been watching the whole interaction. He let out a chuckle and took a bite of his burger. "Look guys, I think she finally figured it out!" He spoke with his mouth full of food.

She whipped her head back towards Chan. The whole room went silent while she spoke. All she could hear was the heavy thuds of her heartbeat in her chest.

"You...you're...you look like...bu-"

Chan nodded his head.

"No way! There's no way you're related to him. You can't be! That man didn't have a family besides his wife and son. The two of them were never found and declared legally dead a few years ago."

"It turns out that if you know the right people, you can easily evade the cops."

"We're talking about the same person, right?"

"You mean America's most wanted criminal? He spent years in the number one spot. He started off as a hit-man and then turned to murdering for fun. That guy? Yeah," Chan shrugged, "that's my father."

The influx of information, plus the concussion from the day before, was enough to make Kiera's head spin. "So you've been alive this whole entire time? You've never been dead?"

"Yep."

"And your mom?"

"Dead because of my dad."

"Oh," Kiera frowned, "sorry for your loss."

Seungmin snorted in the background. "You're like more than a decade late for sympathies."

Kiera's gaze met the floor. Lee Know patted her shoulder to reassure her. Chan rolled his eyes at Seungmin's comment and shook his head.

"Yeah that was my father. We can get into this conversation another time. Lee Know and Han, I need the two of you to listen up because you're going on another undercover mission in DC."

Han turned his attention towards Chan. "Another mission? Are we going back undercover as the charity owners?"

"Nope, but are you two allergic to latex?"

Han's mouth dropped open and Lee Know's eyebrows furrowed. They both shook their heads and Chan clasped his hands together. "Good because this is going to work out perfectly then. The two of you leave later this evening. I've booked a train for you."

"What exactly are we going to be doing that involves latex?" Han asked.

"You're going undercover as two secret service agents and I've ordered custom latex masks. They'll slip over your face and change your facial shape. Instead of your faces, you'll have theirs."

"I don't like where this is going," Lee Know mumbled.

"The two of you are going to leave a present for Kiera's father to find at his press conference on Thursday morning."
