When Chan walked into the room one of the strangers had dubbed 'the torture room,' the man knew he was fucked. Chan's voice was void of any emotions. With a cold blank stare and empty eyes, he looked the man up and down.
The blood pouring from his nose created a sticky film over his upper lip, lips, and chin. The blood slid down his neck and dripped onto his navy green shirt. Chan was sound asleep until Kiera shook him frantically and announced he was needed at the warehouse due to an emergency.
While in the car, with I.N on speaker phone, Chan listened to his version of events. I.N and Han went to check the warehouse after checking a few other places, when I.N found a stranger attempting to sneak into the back of the warehouse. I.N didn't go into detail, but he mentioned Han nearly strangled the man until he confessed to knowing Felix's whereabouts.
Chan didn't want to believe Felix was in transport to Washington DC, but the other guys and their searching was leading to nowhere. I.N and Han mentioned they stopped at two places Felix mentioned now and then. They showed staff members Felix's photo and they hadn't seen them.
Changbin, Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Seungmin's continued searches weren't bringing up clues. Staff members either didn't see Felix or they weren't paying attention to customers in their businesses. Besides that, the man had no reason to lie about Felix's whereabouts.
After a few seconds of staring, Chan chuckled. "Did you really think this was going to go well for you?"
The man was slumped in defeat. His arms were cuffed to the sides of the metal folding chair. His wrists were red from where he attempted to squirm out of them to no avail. More cuffs secured his ankles together. "What do you want?" His voice was laced with exhaustion.
"Felix is in transport to DC?"
"Yes. Like I told the other two, they said he was going to see Willie."
"Why?"
"They think he knows about Stray Kids."
Chan nodded and glanced around Changbin's torture room. A black curtain covered the only window in sight. The large room was lit up by overhead fluorescent lights. The wooden rafters hanging above briefly reminded Chan of the time Kiera was here. He pushed the memory away and stepped closer to the man.
"What do you know about Stray Kids?"
"They're holding Willie's daughter hostage."
"Is that all you know?"
"Felix might work for them. If I had to take a guess, you're their leader. The two that found me, they were desperate to get a hold of you. I'm begging you, you've gotta let me go. That's all I know, I swear. They formed a team and told us to try and find you."
"How do you know about this warehouse?" Chan cocked his head to the side.
"Marvin Wilson. His last pinged GPS coordinates were here. We came out here to try and find clues and I-"
"Who is we?"
The man's face went pale at the mistake.
"How many of you are there?"
"I-I don't kn-"
"Tell me!" Chan barked.
He was a few feet away, but the intensity of his voice caused saliva to land on the man's face. He flinched and shifted in his chair. "Maybe ten of us? It's a rough estimate. I don't know exactly. I was told we had a specific assignment from the president. We were put on a private jet and brought to Chicago."
"And if you're here, where are the other nine?"
"Please," the man begged, "please stop. I don't want to tell you."
