The Stray Kids' warehouse was a large building that was located nearly twenty minutes from Chicago. It was hidden among the trees in a five mile acre of woods. Two years ago, Chan had bought the land in cash underneath the guise of a fake identity. He hired a tree removing company and removed half a mile worth of trees in the heart of it all.

When they were finished, he hired a construction company and let them build the building. On the outside, it looked like a large black warehouse, but the inside was filled with a variety of different rooms. One of those rooms happened to be an interrogation room.

As Kiera was led out of the room she was locked in, she took her chance to glance around the area. The pair were walking through a long hallway. Above them, fluorescent lights hung high overhead. They passed an occasional wooden door that Kiera could only wonder what lay behind them.

Hyunjin and Kiera's shoes squeaked against the smooth cement floor. Like the floor, the walls were a dull gray. The further they walked, she wasn't sure if they were getting closer to the end of the hallway or not. The hall seemed to go on forever like some sort of mind trick.

"Here we are!" Hyunjin grabbed the brass knob of a blackened door and swung it open. He pulled Kiera into the room.

The room was in the shape of a small square. A wooden table sat in the middle of it. On one side, there was a folding chair. Hyunjin released her hand and nodded towards the folding chair. "Have a seat and eat your breakfast."

On the table was a white plate topped with two pancakes, a few pieces of bacon, and a side of eggs. A cold bottle of water was placed off to the side. She slowly walked over to the table and sat down. A small stream of steam was rising up off the eggs. The smell of the crisped bacon lingered in the air. She glanced up at Hyunjin for a moment before she looked back down at the plate.

"Don't worry, it's not drugged. I should know, I had a plate of it before I came to get you."

Beside the plate, a paper towel was neatly folded in half. She picked up the fork and took a bite of her eggs. Whoever had made them knew how to cook. They were seasoned, so they weren't bland.

"See? Was it that hard?" Hyunjin shot her an amused look.

She ignored him and took another bite of her eggs.

"While you're doing that, I've gotta go. I'm sure I'll see you later at some point."

Before she could say anything, he left the room. A lock clicked into place after the door shut. She let out a sigh and picked up a piece of the bacon. She wasn't the biggest fan of it, but she was hungry. Besides, who knew when she'd be able to eat again.

This time, it was apparent that she was being watched. A black security camera was hooked up into the left corner of the room. She refused to acknowledge it. Whoever was watching, she wasn't going to let them know that she was terrified. She needed to be rational in this situation, Hyunjin even said it himself.

She glanced up as the lock unlocked and the door swung open. Her eyes widened at the sight of Clyde Williams. She blinked a few times to make sure she was seeing things right. He glanced up at her and gave her a pity filled smile. In his hands was another folding chair that he placed down across the table from her.

"How's it going?"

"You're in on this too?"

"Well..." He scratched the back of his neck as he trailed off. "Yeah, I am."

"Does that mean that your husband, Henry, is too?"

"Those aren't our names and we're not married. Yeah, we're in this too."

She glanced down at her empty plate. "So what's the point of this? The three of you are going to hold me hostage here until my father gives you ransom money?"

Han snorted and shook his head. "No, it's nothing like that. My real name is Han by the way. Clyde was just a cover-up."

"Do the two of you even own a charity?"

"Nope."

She let out a sigh and crossed her arms around her chest. "So what do you want? Money? Secrets? Fame?"

"We'll get to that in a while. How was your breakfast?" He shot her a small smile. "Lee Know, Henry as you know him, made those himself. He's an amazing chef."

She shrugged, "it was okay I guess."

"You guess?"

"I mean you kidnapped me and you're holding me here. I wasn't focused on savoring every bite of my breakfast. Can we skip the small talk and just get on with whatever it is?"

"I was just trying to make you more comfortable."

"Well, I'm not!" She snapped in anger. Realizing her mistake, she quickly dropped her arms from her chest and let out a soft sigh. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you. I don't know where I am and I don't know what's going on."

"It's okay to be afraid of the unknown. It must be terrifying waking up somewhere unfamiliar away from home. Just know that I'm not going to hurt you, alright?"

She nodded and glanced down at the ground feeling guilty. She had already formed a small bond with this man back at the white house. She needed to focus on growing that bond more. Maybe he'd be able to help her escape.

"Alright, let's begin."
