Time-out

"I can't stay here at a time like this!"

"Yes you can and you're going to."

"I'm not!"

"You are!"

"No, I'm not!"

Lee Know forced himself to take a deep breath. He grabbed a glass cup and poured a pre-made strawberry and banana smoothie into it. Behind him, Kiera and Changbin continued to argue. When I.N and Han called a code red and wanted to meet up at the warehouse, Kiera was bound to go with them. However, I.N specifically said Kiera was not allowed to be there. The pair had been arguing for nearly five minutes.

"You just expect me to stay here? What if something happens? What if Felix needs me?"

"And what if Felix shows up here?" Changbin asked.

"Then he'll be happy because nobody is here. Changbin, please!" Kiera begged. Her eyes softened and she exaggerated a frown.

"The puppy dog bullshit you and Felix have going on for the two of you, it might work on Chan, but not me. You're staying here and that's final," Changbin's voice came out sternly.

Kiera's arms crossed over the front of her chest. A loud huff filled the air and Changbin shot her a glare. Lee Know slid the cup over to the front of Kiera. "Here, drink some of this to make you feel better."

Kiera's eyes narrowed at him in a glare. Her look didn't bother him. "Come on, drink some of the smoothie. Your stomach was rumbling earlier. No matter what happens, you need to have some energy."

Kiera sighed and picked up the cup. Without a word, she began drinking it. Changbin continued to explain the reasons why she couldn't go along. For every reason, Kiera countered with an opposite reason for why she should be there. Lee Know's fingers tapped along the table. He kept glancing at the neon green numbers on the stove clock.

"Don't fucking make me tie you up because I will," Changbin threatened.

"Fuck you!" Kiera snapped. "I deserve to be part of whatever the fuck is happening!"

"It's too dangerous!"

"I don't give a shit!"

"Well, your boyfriend does and these are his orders! Get over it and stop throwing a temper tantrum!" Changbin rubbed the sides of his head. "You're no better than a fucking toddler."

Kiera's tongue shot out before she drank more of the smoothie. Lee Know pressed his lips together and began to study Kiera's body language. He waited to intervene until Kiera's legs nearly gave out beneath her. He approached her, wrapped an arm around her shoulder, and pulled her head over onto his own shoulder.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Why am I suddenly tired?" Her words slurred slightly.

Lee Know smiled, "because you have to stay here. It's for your safety and we'll be back before you know it."

"What did yo-" She struggled to keep her eyes open. "What did you put in the smoothie?"

Lee Know reached up and began to gently play with her hair. "Something to help you sleep for a while."

"Thank fuck," Changbin mumbled.

"You motherfucker."

Lee Know bent down and slung Kiera's half conscious body over his shoulder. She squirmed slightly, but there wasn't much of a fight to put up. Her head felt light, but her limbs felt like they weighed thousands of pounds. She hummed and closed her eyes.

Lee Know went up the stairs and laid Kiera down on Chan's bed. He pushed a few stray hairs from her face before disappearing from the room. A few seconds later, he came back with two pairs of handcuffs. He tried to work quietly as he clipped her arms to Chan's headboard.

Sure, Chan might be pissed, but this was for Kiera's safety. When he was finished, he pulled away. With a final glance, he mumbled a good night and shut Chan's door behind him. Bounding back down the stairs, he ushered everyone else out to Changbin's Bronco.

A half hour later, the members, minus Kiera and Felix, met up in the front lobby of the warehouse. As Chan explained the situation, the severity of it finally fell upon them. One of their members was missing and happened to be in danger. The air in the room shifted to something heavier. Silence lingered and all that remained were unspoken thoughts.

Anger. Frustration. Betrayal. Annoyance.

Their emotions were jumbled together, but they were all on the same page when it came to Felix. Felix was the group's glue. Chan was the rock that held them sturdy, but Felix was the glue  that kept them from falling off the rock. Like when he helped manage fights between members. Rather than picking a side, he'd go back and forth between the guys trying to dictate the best course of action.

On more than one occasion, especially when things were tense, Felix would stay up late and make baked goods. The whole house would smell like a bakery. With love and affection oozing out of every pore, he'd make multiple baked goods trying to cheer everyone up.

In the morning, he'd deliver them one by one to the guys with a little note reminding them of their strengths and how much he appreciated them. If the guys were up late when he finished baking them, he'd deliver them still warm with a huge grin and glittering eyes.

For now, that was gone. There was no more glue. Nobody was there to hold the structure of the group together. All they had now was Chan and Chan was going to do whatever it took to get Felix back. Even if Felix was pissed at him, Chan wouldn't dare let him die; he wouldn't abandon him. It didn't matter how many people he had to kill.

If someone stood in the way of him finding Felix, they'd be slaughtered.
