"It's a little bit bitter but yeah, it taste good."

At least it taste good daw!

I bite my lips as I watched her slowly chewing my cupcake inside her mouth. I gulped when she looked at me. "It taste good! Mas masarap 'to keysa doon sa una mong gawa! I think you should focus on this flavor of cupcakes muna!"

Napapalakpak ako sa tuwa at masayang tumingin kay Sensei. "Dinig mo yun, Sensei! Mas masarap daw!" pagmamayabang ko.

He chuckled and shook his head. "She can't hurt your feelings, that's why."

That means, I'm improving!"

Tumaas ang kilay niya. "Have you forgotten what I've said earlier? You don't need someone's sympathy. If it taste good to you, then it is." buwelta niya.

"I'm too full to eat a cupcake." she refused.

"Kahit isang kagat lang." pilit ko dito at dumapo ang mga mata niya sa 'kin. Nagpaawa face ako sa kanya. "Please?"

She rolled her eyes before letting go a sighed. Kumuha siya ng isang kapirasong cupcake at kinagatan 'to. "Not bad." mataray na komento niya.

I mean, we're just jamming inside the car a few minutes ago. Why she suddenly turned cold to me?

Nevertheless, I sincerely thanked her for giving a good feedback. This mean I should practice more so the next time she will taste it, it will be perfect.

"Goodbye, Sensei. Thanks sa ride na naman." I chuckled.

I waved my hand at her. "Goodbye!"

Tumango siya. "Bye." tipid na saad nito.

"Don't mind her. She's just sleepy." rason ni Sensei at tinanguan ko na lang siya. Umatras ako ng konti at pinanuod ang pag-alis ng kotse ni Sensei.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked Remrem calmy as soon we drove away from Kenin's house.

She looked at me and then she chuckled with full of sarcasm. "I should be the one asking you that. What's wrong with you? We've been friends since we were just a kid and now, what? You keeping secrets from me?!" she shouted hysterically.

My forehead creased. "What the fuck are you talking about?"

She brushed her hair upward using her fingers. Her tears flowed down quickly. "I saw the both of you. Holding hands, huh? What are you? A lover?!" she yelled while crying.

"You're overthinking, Remrem. There's nothing going on between us." I answered her frustratingly.

"Nothing?! I know you, Hillux, I know you! You've never been interested in a girl since we're elementary tapos malalaman ko magkaibigan na kayo? You even gave her a job, you even drove her home, you even introduced her to Mommy and now, what? You two baked and held each others hand?! How about in the next few days, you will kiss?" she shouted exaggeratedly while sobbing.

I hastily stopped the car on the side. I faced her. "You're being unreasonable. What's happening on you?" I asked her as calm as I can.

She burst into tears. "Just fucking tell me if you two are in relationship!" she yelled.

"And what if we are, huh? WHAT IF WE ARE?!" I yelled back at her. She stared at me, shock because of what I said and scared because this is the first time I tone up my voice at her. "You're right. We've been friends since we were just a kid, and if you want that to continue, behave yourself or else." I threatened her.

The pain quickly passed over her face. "So, you're just going to throw our friendship just like that? Because of her?" she asked using her broken voice.

Suddenly, guilt swallowed me. I sighed and stared at her. "I treasure you, Remrem. I really do. You're my best friend. You're my little sister. And I love you. You knew my dark secrets, my ups and downs and what I hate and love. But that doesn't mean you can mess with my life." I explained softly. I wiped her tears using my fingers and I kissed her forehead. "Stop crying. I will take you home." I revive the engine and starts driving.

I let go a sighed. I can't believe she thought Kenin and I were lovers. We didn't even believe in love for God sake.

"I'm sorry." she apologized as soon as she stepped out from my car.

"No. Forget about it. I know you're just stress from not passing the entrance exam. I understand you." I reassured.

She looked down and play her fingers. "Are you not mad anymore?" she whispered.

"When did I get mad?" I asked back and she didn't spoke. I sighed. "Look, I'm sorry I yelled at you. I know you hate it. . . and I know I hurt your feelings. I'm sorry, Remrem. Everyone's fucked up sometimes and I'm not an exception." I explained genuinely.

She nodded and give me a reassuring smile. "I understand you, too. I triggered you that's why it happens."

I nodded at her and smile. "Bati na ba tayo?"

She jokingly rolled her eyes at me. "As if I can tolerate you."

I smiled at her. "I have to go."

She nodded and waved her hand at me. "Bye, Hillux. Can I call you later?"

"You can always call me." I answered that makes her smile grew bigger. "Bye."

I revived the engine and starts driving again. Suddenly, on my way home, my phone rang. It was Kenin. I answered it.

"Hello?" I uttered on the other line.

"Nasamid ako kanina, limang beses. Pinag-uusapan niyo ba 'ko?"

I bite my lips to suppress my smile. She's really weird. "Yup." I admitted. "But we didn't backstabbed you." I joked.

I heard her soft sighs on the other line. "Buti naman. Akala ko kasi nilalait niyo na yung gawa kong cupcake kanina."

"We didn't. Besides, I told you it taste good." I uttered.

"Hay, may kulang talaga sa cupcake na gawa 'ko. Ano kaya yun?" she asked.

"You're the only one who can answer your own question." I answered.

She groaned. "Eme mo naman, ih. Dali na, asukal ba? O vanilla?"

"It's for you to find out."

"Argh! Ayoko na! Ang baka mo kausap!" she yelled on the phone call.

My forehead creased. "What-" She dropped the call.

I stare on the road. "Baka? Cow? Ang cow ko kausap? What the fuck, Kenin?"
