Book 3: TWO WORLDS: The Beginning of the End (On Going)

"I.. is it okay? By the way, I'm Byun Baekhyun"
Baekhyun stated with his nervous voice. Blame his heart that it kept beating uncontrollably, it's not that he doesn't like it but he's afraid that Taeyeon might find something suspicious and freak out.
"Yes.. it's not that you're going to leave me right? I'm Kim Taeyeon" Taeyeon said jokingly trying to light up Baekhyun's mood. His eyes for her are like lightly tinted windows, she can see something but not clearly.
This made her grew confused and.. interested.
"No, i-it would be rude right?" Baekhyun stammered. He scolded himself mentally, he blamed himself for being so vulnerable and soft when it comes to her. But what can he do?
He's defenseless.
"Yes.. you're right" Taeyeon said and now silence wrapped around them even if the school's noisy. It was like the world stopped around them and it revolved between them.
The noise and the people are well ignored and they only stood there in silence. It was awkward but there's a little thing that made them like each other's company.
Warmth.
"It's.. awkward" Baekhyun said trying to start a conversation with the girl beside him. He loved her voice and he will never get enough of it, if possible he wants to hear it all the time.
"Yeah.. it's Yoona's fault" Taeyeon said making the guy beside her chuckle. Baekhyun on the other hand felt thankful, atleast he got to have her attention after months of waiting and watching.
"So.. Do you wanna do anything?" Baekhyun asked turning to look at her beautiful face but as soon as he saw her looking at him he looked away.
"Well. I'm not really into thinking of stuffs so I would rather sit and watch.." Taeyeon said and Baekhyun nodded. He find it amusing. It was what he do before right? Sit on his bike and watch her walk down the street.
"Then.. let's go there" Baekhyun said pointing a bench at the nearby tree. Taeyeon only followed him wondering why he's in hurry.
It made her think that he's uncomfortable.
It stirred a little pain on her heart. People doesn't like being friends with her despite of her happy and warm attitude, it was only Yoona who dared to be friends with her.
So that made her think, what if Baekhyun looks at her differently too. She can't stand seeing another person despising her only because she acts differently.
"Are you okay?" She heard his voice and went back to reality. She gave him a fake smile, is she ready too be disliked again? She don't think so, she hates it.
"Yeah, just thinking about something sorry" Taeyeon said as she took the opposite side of the bench. She doesn't want to be comfortable around him yet.
"Oh, it's okay" Baekhyun said and he felt a bit hurt when he saw Taeyeon sit on the other end. He felt hurt and relieved.
Hurt that she didn't sat close to him and relieved that he can be able to control his stubborn heart from beating terribly fast.
"By the way you're from the other school?" Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun just stared at the happy event that was taking place infront of them.
He doesn't want to flaunt himself to her but it would be rude if he won't speak right? He doesn't want to look rude.
Not especially in front of Taeyeon.
"Yeah.. aeronautics" Baekhyun answered as he forced he smile. If only Taeyeon knew that he doesn't like it, he would be more than contented.
"That's cool. You like flying" Taeyeon said while she chuckled with her own words. Baekhyun just took a deep breath before answering her.
"No, not really" Baekhyun said and Taeyeon shot him a confused look. Baekhyun chuckled finding it... cute.
"Can I ask why?" Taeyeon asked and slowly they grew comfortable with each other. They didn't even found out that they caught some of the people's attention since they're too drown with their own little world.
"Because of my dad.." Baekhyun quickly answered and Taeyeon didn't bother to ask further anymore. She saw that there's sadness in his eyes so she put the curiosity aside.
"How about you? Why did you go here?" Baekhyun asked while suppressing a small smile. He wanted her to know that he's okay, that he will be fine.
"Because.. I love to draw and.. sing" Taeyeon shyly answered and Baekhyun smiled with the sight. For the first time after a very long time he smiled wholeheartedly and that's because of Taeyeon.
"Maybe if we meet again you sing and draw for me" Baekhyun said and Taeyeon slowly nodded. She's happy that Baekhyun didn't push her away, she's happy that another person became her friend.
"Alright.." Taeyeon answered as she gave him a smile. She stared right on his eyes and found herself getting lost with it. They're both confused and comfort able at the same time but their staring contest was stopped when they heard loud drum rolls.
They both stood up and shyly smiled while they approached the center stage where a mini concert is being held.
They both stood together. Arms brushing on each other as more of the students squeeze in, the music started playing and the crowd went wild .
Taeyeon just smiled when she saw Baekhyun having a hard time adjusting with the loud sound. Their eyes met again and soon the music was forgotten.
Baekhyun leaned in making Taeyeon flinch.
"I like your eyes.."
