"Taeyeon-ah!!!"
Yoona screamed happily upon seeing Taeyeon at the school courtyard, gaining the attention of the students, Yoona didn't care as she ran towards her friend and hugged her as tight as she can causing Taeyeon to stumble back a few steps. Kai on the other hand just watched them with a smile on his face.
"Yoona.. air" Taeyeon said and Yoona immediately let go of her and Taeyeon touched her chest as she catched her breath. "Sorry" Yoona said apologetically and Taeyeon smiled as she shook her head finally catching her breath. "You really missed me huh?" Taeyeon joked and Yoona smiled cheekily as she nodded her head and engulfed Taeyeon into a hug again but this time, it wasn't that tight anymore.
"Aww, I missed you too" Taeyeon said as she chuckled and Yoona smiled upon seeing Taeyeon's unique smile. It's been ages since she saw Taeyeon smiled like that again, peeking at Taeyeon's back, Yoona furrowed her brows causing Taeyeon to look at her in confusion.
"Is there something wrong?" Taeyeon asked and Yoona shook her head. "Where's Baekhyun?" Yoona asked causing the smile on Taeyeon's face disappear, of course Taeyeon doesn't know what she just did and Yoona on the other hand noticed the sudden change of reaction Taeyeon upon hearing his name.
Did something wrong happen between them? Yoona thought.
"Oh.. I don't know where he is. Is he here already?" Taeyeon asked as she faked a smile as soon as she reaqlized that she's frowning. Pretending not to notice the sudden change of reactions of her friend, Yoona shook her head as she frowned. "No.. Kai's looking for him too" Yoona said as she pointed at Kai who was sitting a few steps away from themk.
"Can you call him?" Yoona asked and Taeyeon took her phone out and dialled Baekhyun's number but to no avail, the number's not available. "I think his phone's off" Taeyeon said as she closed her phone and Yoona frowned before glancing at Kai. Upon seeing the frown on her girlfriend's face on the other hand, Kai immediately walked to them with a worried look on his face.
"Is there something wrong?" Kai asked worriedly as he put his hand on Yoona's back. "Baekhyun's still not picking up his phone" Yoona said while looking at him disappointedly and Kai nodded his head as he took his phone out and sent him a message. "Do you need something from him? Maybe I can help you" Kai said and Taeyeon smiled as she shook her head.
"No, it's alright. We're done with the report anyways" Taeyeon answered and Kai nodded his head. "This guy have some explaining to do. Remind me when we see him alright?" Kai asked and the two girls only nodded innocently upon Kai's statement. Yes, he looks serious with his statement but it was rather funny with Yoona and Taeyeon that's why they just nodded their heads trying to prevent laughter.
Just in time, Baekhyun's came but it seemed like he didn't notice them as he walked at the other side of the courtyard. "There he is!" Kai said as soon as he noticed Baekhyun walking on the other side of the courtyard with earphone plugged on his ears, walking straight at the courtyard with his arms on his pocket, Kai ran to him as he knew that if he will just shout at Baekhyun and call him, the other guy wouldn't hear him because of the earphone plugged.
"I'll drag him here. Just wait" Kai said as he sprinted towards Baekhyun and just in time before he can disappear, Kai already got a hold him.
Meanwhile..
Baekhyun was still feeling back about his argument with Taeyeon earlier as he parked his car inside the school's parking lot. He knew that he shouldn't have said those things to Taeyeon but it seems like his temper got the best of him that's why he said all that's been bothering him, it was true though and he hoped that maybe even just for a little bit, Taeyeon would change her mind towards their 'secret' relationship.
Plugging the earphone on his ears, Baekhyun got out of his car and walked at the courtyard. He thought of ways on how to approach Taeyeon later in the day to apologize but his thoughts were interrupted when he felt his collar being held tightly and before he knew it, he was dragged across the courtyard.
Getting enough of it, Baekhyunhit the arms of the person who drag him by the collar and as he turned he saw Kai crouching while holding his arm and giving him a glare. Looking up, Baekhyun saw Taeyeon and Yoona looking at the two of them with surprised faces.
Fixing his collar, Baekhyun glared at Kai. "I'm not in the mood to play Kai. So just look for someone you can bug. You're irritating me" Baekhyun said as he glanced at Taeyeon before turning his back and walking away. "The heck is this" Kai said as he stood up and grabbed Baekhyun's shoulder and spun him around as he landed a punch on Baekhyun's cheek causing the two girls to gasp in horror.
"Maybe that wakes you up" Kai said as he breathed hard while clenching his fist. "Stop treating us like crap Baekhyun. We just saw each other again and you're acting like this already? It seems to me like you don't even want to see us" Kai said while looking at Baekhyun's who's lying on the ground.
Standing up, Baekhyun wiped his now tainted uniform before clenching his fist. "You know nothing! So pleaswe just stay away from me for now" Baekhyun said as he took his earphones off angrily and and threw it harshly on the ground before turning around and walking away.
"What the hell is his problem?" Kai asked as he held onto his aching arm and Yoona sighed as she shook her head. "I don't know.. Taeyeon do you?" Yoona asked and Taeyeon sighed choosing not to answer Yoona's question anymore. "I'll leave you two here first? I'll try to talk to him" Taeyeon said as she walked away leaving the couple and trying to look for Baekhyun.
Searching around the campus, Taeyeon looked around worriedly as she tried to look after Baekhyun. She tried calling him a couple of times but he's still not picking up and that made her worry for him more adding to that, they only got a few minutes before the class stars. "She knows that she shouldn't have answered back at him earlier while they were talking but isn't it wrong for her to be afraid? She hated herself too for being a coward and asking him to be discreet about their relationship but what can she do? She thinks that it's the only way to protect him.
Turning at the corner, Taeyeon saw Baekhyun leaning in at a drinking fountain washing his face with its water. Looking around, Taeyeon saw no one there so she walked to him and sighed. Feeling a hand on his shoulder, Baekhyun looked up and saw Taeyeon looking at him with a frown on his face. Wiping the water on his face away, Baekhyun felt Taeyeon's hand hold his hand that was wiping his face and before he knew it, Taeyeon's the one that's wiping the water away using her handkerchief.
"Does your cheeks hurt?" Taeyeon asked as she stop at the spot where Kai hit his fist with. "A bit" Baekhyun said as he frowned and Taeyeon sighed. "It's fine.. it's noting" Baekhyun said as he smiled weakly and before he knew it, Taeyeon's face was buried on his chest, as she shook her head.
"I'm sorry" Taeyeon said weakly and Baekhyun thought that she's crying so he poushed her a bit but to his surprise, no tears were coming out nor forming on her eyes. "It's alright.. It's not your fault anyway" Baekhyun said as he looked away and flexed his jaw and Taeyeon knew that he's lying.
"It is" Taeyeon said and Baekhyun sighed as he shook his head. "No" he answered.
"It is... I thought that keeping this relationship will keep you from getting hurt but it seems like my idea have hurted you more" Taeyeon said while looking straight into his eyes and Baekhyun looked away.
"It's alright. Really" Baekhyun answered and Taeyeon held both of his cheeks with both of her hands making him look at her again.
"I've decided already" Taeyeon said and Baekhyun felt his breath hitched. He doesn't know what's running inside her mind but he prayed that she didn't think of breaking with him up already. It's still early and he'll go crazy if she decides to just stop the relationship they're relationship. If she wants to be discreet, then let it be as long as he knows that she's still his.
"Let's not keep this as a secret anymore. Let's not be discreet about this, after all.. Is hould be proud to have you right?" Taeyeon said with a small smile and Baekhyun sighed in relief as he nodded his head with a smile appearing on his face.
"Right"
