"I just don't want to get too attached to him.. After all, it's you who said that he just wants us to be friends"

"So you like him?" yoona asked and Taeyeon's eyes immediately widened before looking at Yoona incredulously. "I didn't say that, what I was pointing at is that this friendship won't make any sense as soon as Baekhyun would choose to let go of us being friends. I don't know him Yoona, and I can't trust him. Losing too many friends is enough for me, I can't bear to lose any friends again" Taeyeon explained and Yoona saw the sincerity in Taeyeon's eyes, she was a witness to everything that had happened to Taeyeon's life for the past times and she knows that the latter don't trust people easily, people may see Taeyeon being cold but Yoona saw how Taeyeon break down every once in a while, Yoona know how Taeyeon cries herself to sleep at night blaming herself for all the misery she's going through right now.

"I know.. and I'm sorry for saying such things. I know that would not happen" Yoona said as she engulfed Taeyeon into a tight hug. For all those times Yoona had been with Taeyeon, never did the latter trusted her heart with any man anymore right after her mother died and her father started abusing her, it broke Yoona''s heart too knowing that her friend can't fall inlove just like the other people do because Taeyeon's holding herself back, Yoona once remembered that Taeyeon said that if she ever fall inlove, then she'll call herself selfish.

To Yoona, Taeyeon is the kind of person who puts others first before herself and her desires. Taeyeon told her that a guy once tried to win her heart but because her father never allowed her to date anyone, he beated her until Taeyeon almost passed out and when the guy found out about this, he left without any words.

"I'm sorry for making you misunderstand my words too.. I don't like him that way Yoong, and I don't think I ever will. We're worlds apart and even looking at him is already making it hard for me to accept his offer of us being friends, I don't want him to step down on the same level as me. I would blame myself if that happens.." Taeyeon said and Yoona sighed. But not only Yoona did hear those words as Baekhyun stood by at the door, looking at her with his eyes full of disappointment.

"Why do you look at yourself so low? Taeyeon they chose to be your friend, all you have to do is let them in" Yoona convinced and Taeyeon nodded her head before going back to her seat. She took a deep breath before answering but she never dared to look into Yoona's eyes anymore knowing that she can't hide anything to the latter.

"I will.. Just let me have some time alone please" Taeyeon said and Yoona weakly nodded her head before turning away. Yoona understands Taeyeon though, she knew that her friend is having a hard time now and forcing her to be with the people Taeyeon thinks that she's a world apart would be burdensome if she keeps on pushing it through but to her, she knew that once Taeyeon will let Baekhyun into her life, she knew that somewhat, Taeyeon will think of a change.

Yoona just walked down on the corridor, too busy with her thoughts, Yoona bumped into someone and when she's about to fall. That person hold on to her arms preventing her from falling.

"K-Kai.." Yoona said as she noticed the frown visible on Kai's eyes. "Hey there.." Kai said with a lifeless voice and this made Yoona furrow her brows. The Kai she knew always has a bright smile on his face whenever he greets her, the Kai she knew always is hyper whenever he's around her.

"Is.. there something wrong?" Yoona asked as she finally got her balance back, Kai removed his hands from her arms and Yoona looked at him questioningly. "Nothing.." Kai said with a lightly indignant tone and Yoona's gaze at him got harder. She doesn't understand why he's like that when earlier he's all okay.
