Book 3: TWO WORLDS: The Beginning of the End (On Going)

"Good morning class.. I already have the results from your exam last week and I can say that you all did well"
Baekhyun's professor said as soon as he entered the classroom. Baekhyun just leaned his back on the chair, he's not interested about the results.
He even wanted to fail but he knows he can't do that.
The professor started announcing their ranks. Baekhyun just watched the falling rain outside, not even sparing a single glance to his professor.
"Our second highest scorer. Kai" he said and he gave Kai his paper. Kai happily took the paper from his professor and smiled widely, he's planning to show it to his girlfriend.
"And last but not the least our highest scorer. Baekhyun.." he said before giving Baekhyun his test paper. Baekhyun took it awkwardly. He didn't expect it coming, he didn't study before the exams and that is what he got.
Great. Now his father won't stop pushing him to this course until he graduates.
"Aren't you happy about the results?" His professor asked. Baekhyun looked up and shook his head with hesitation, of course he lied.
He's not happy with the results. Because..
The higher his score gets. The harder his life becomes.
"That's all for now. I'll see you later on the hands on"
With that their professor left. Kai approached his friend as the big smile never left his face, Baekhyun on the other looks like he's grimacing over his test results.
"Hey.. I know what that face means but I'm telling you. You smiling like a creep is better than you grimacing" Kai said he then crossed his arms. Baekhyun just looked up and shook his head.
"I just hate this.." Baekhyun mumbled before trying to crumple his test paper but Kai hurriedly grabbed it from him. Baekhyun gave his friend a confused look.
"Let's show it to Taeyeon.." Kai said but before Baekhyun can protest. Seungri, one of their classmates approached Baekhyun with an annoyed face.
"What do you want?" Baekhyun asked with an annoyed voice, he doesn't really like Seungri right from the start,he's arrogant and he likes to pick on him.
Seungri just smirked before pushing Kai out of his way. Kai was about to push him back when Baekhyun put his arm in front of Kai stopping him.
"Did your daddy scared you? I see you placed first on the exam again" Seungri said more like mocking Baekhyun again. His dad's treatment to him was a secret between him and Kai but Seungri accidentally heard one of their conversations and from that day he never stopped trying to annoy Baekhyun especially in the exams.
"No, I can say that my brain is the reason. What about you? You placed second to the last" Baekhyun took one step forward ending up having Seungri face to face.
He even chuckled trying to mock Seungri. "You brat.." Seungri growled before grabbing Baekhyun's collar. Their classmates can't do anything, Baekhyun just stood there with a smirk on his face.
He's not intimidated.
"What? Little Seungri is annoyed?" Baekhyun sarcastically said and Seungri let go of his collar before punching Baekhyun's left cheek.
Baekhyun fell down and wiped the small amount of blood he has. He cheek has a scrape and it's because of Seungri's ring.
"What? You're afraid now?" Seungri said and Baekhyun chuckled. "No, I just don't want to hit you. Might affect your brain that you'll end up on the last rank" Baekhyun said before grabbing his bag and walking out of the classroom.
Kai followed his friend leaving an annoyed Seungri.
"Aren't you hurt?" Kai asked before catching up with Baekhyun. "Nah, just a bit.." Baekhyun said and Kai sighed before shuffling his hair in frustration.
"What if your dad sees that?" Kai asked with a worried voice. "It's okay.." Baekhyun said before trying to unlock his bike.
"Aren't you going with me? To the art school?" Kai suddenly asked and Baekhyun stopped what he's doing. He turned to Kai before taking a deep breath.
"Maybe a few minutes won't hurt.. let's go" Baekhyun said and they walked to the art school. "I'll see Yoona first, I asked her if she's with Taeyeon and she said no.." Kai said while looking at his phone when they entered the school gates Baekhyun stopped walking and Kai gave him a questioning look.
"I'll look for her. It's okay.." Baekhyun said and Kai nodded. "You'll be okay?" Kai asked and Baekhyun nodded before giving him a thumbs up. Probably forgetting about his injured face.
"Yeah.. go now Yoona's waiting.." Baekhyun said and Kai dashed off. Baekhyun took the opposite way, he looked around the school hoping to see Taeyeon or if not maybe bump into her.
Now he's thinking how to explain his injured face to Taeyeon. Not that he wanted her to care but he doesn't want to see her with a worried look.
He doesn't want to be a reason why she will have worries. He wanted to be the reason why she smiles and not the other way around.
Then, he chuckled, mocking himself. He have to prepare his right cheek in case his father sees his face, he knows he'll receive a slap or worse a beating with a bonus of harsh words.
He already knew what would happen. His dad is not the kind of father who would ask him why he's hurt, instead he would just hit him saying that he's a disgrace in the family.
Baekhyun sighed bitterly. He can't bring himself to talk back to his father, he still respect him after all.
Baekhyun ended up on the back of the school and a few meters away is a greenhouse. Baekhyun walked curious since he never had the chance to roam fully around the back of the school and with a few steps.
He heard sobs. His eyebrows furrowed thinking how could it be, the sobs got harder and he heard some light sound probably coming from crushed dry leaves.
Baekhyun went to the end of the greenhouse and there. He saw a student sitting back facing him, Baekhyun knew who it was.
He felt his lungs constricted.
He can't breathe properly.
"T-Taeyeon?"
