"Taeyeon-ah.. are you ready? The car's waiting already" Mr. Kim called when Taeyeon is still not going out of her room. It's been Almost two days after the resuming of class from the semestral break and Taeyeon is still not getting her papers from the school so she can transfer to another. Why? It's because she doesn't have the pwoer and will to.
She doesn't want to go back knowing that her friends, the people who used to have memories with her will see her there and ask her to stay instead of leaving. Hearing her dad's call, Taeyeon went out of her room with a small smile on her face trying to hide the fear, the hesitance and the nervousness she feels.
"I'm ready dad.. and I can say you look younger" Taeyeon joked trying to lighten her own mood. "I am?" Mr. Kim asked while looking at his suit, he just got his shares back from their family business and started working too making everything in him changed. Even the way he looks.
"Yes.. just like before. My daddy.." Taeyeon said and gave the old man a tight hug. "A failed businessman" Mr. Kim joked and pinched his daughter's cheek. "You're getting back now dad.. and I can see that it's a good start seeing that you start having clients again after a few years. You're not a failure" Taeyeon said while ficing her dad's tie with a smile.
"Really? Because I am.. especially being a dad to you" Mr. Kim said and Taeyeon can see tears brimming in his eyes with remorse. "No.. it's the past now. Let's forget it, besides, you bought me a car as soon as you got your shares from the company back what more could be better than that?" Taeyeon asked with a sly smile and Mr. Kim shook his head.
"You.. I won't let you drive until you pass the driving exams so better study well" Mr. Kim said and Taeyeon nodded her head. "I will so I can get that car" Taeyeon said and Mr. Kim laughed. "But since you don't know anything about driving yet.. I'll use it first" Mr. Kim said and before Taeyeon can say anything, he already dashed out of the door.
"Come here! We still have a long way to go!"
"I'm coming dad!"
"So? You have your piece already?" Kai asked as he approached Baekhyun. Giving him a blank expression, Baekhyun threw the audition sheet to Kai and stood up before shaking his head with his hands on his waist. Everyone in the class turned their eyes to the two. "Do you think it's a joke telling our homeroom teacher that I should be the one competing for this stupid competition?" Baekhyun asked before picking up the audition sheet and showed it to Kai.
"I just want you to sing again.. it's one of your happiness right?" Kai asked and Yoona turned her head towards them watching the two intensely being cautious if one of them will just burst out. "Why would you in, in my business? It's not like I asked you and who are you to say that this is my happiness My happiness is long gone Kai, I'm not the same guy you used to know" Baekhyun said with his voice full of irritation and Kai sighed, Yoona on the other hand was about to stand up and got to them but Kai stopped her from doing so.
"Just because you lost her--"
"It's easy for you to say cause you got yours back! What about mine then?! Have you ever thought of what I feel knowing that you're happy and here I am dying just because I lost someone I love the most with your. damn.plan?!" Baekhyun asked and Kai raised his fist ready to hit him. Bravely taking a step forward, Baekhyun stand firmly.
"Hit me! Tell me to wake up! Beat me! But I'm telling you Kai, the pain I'm feeling here " Baekhyun said while hitting his chest hardly. "Is more than that of the pain you could give me physically" Baekhyun said and took a step backward before shutting his eyes tight and gripping a handful of his hair.
Screaming, Baekhyun slammed the table venting all his frustrations out.
"Yah.. Kim Taeyeon's outside. Look out your windows" A student from another section said causing Baekhuyn to drop his hands and furrow his brows. Everyone, including Yoona ran towards the windows and looked outside only to see Taeyeon getting out of the car with a man beside her.
"Must be her father" One of the their classmates said.
"She looks different" Another one said.
"The mans look rich" Another student said.
Yoona on the other hand furrowed her brows, looking back to Kai and Baekhyun she noticed that Baekhyun already ran out of the classroom so she too ran in hopes to see and hug her friend again. Ending up in front of the faculty room, both Baekhyun and Yoona stopped waiting for Taeyeon to arrive.
Catching their breaths, Baekhyun leaned his back on the wall and so as Yoona. Kai on the other hand came running after them. "Hey.. why did you ran? You could have just walked you know" Kai said while wiping the sweat that formed in Yoona's forehead.
"Here it is.. dad"
They heard Taeyeon's voice and the three turned with their surprised faces. "Oh.. Baekhyun" Mr. Kim reacted immediately as soon as he saw Baekhyun leaning his back on the wall, composing himseldf, Baekhyun gave the old man a bow and a small smile before glancing at Taeyeon and looking away.
"Goodafternoon uncle" Baekhyun said and both Yoona and Kai furrowed his brows. "I see we met again" Mr. Kim said while patting his shoulder and Baekhyun nodded his head a little. "Uh.. Dad. Can you go inside first? Just tell them tha you're my dad and I'll follow. But.. meet my friends first. Kai and Yoona" Taeyeon said and the old man nodded his head and gave the two a warm smile.
"I see Taeyeon got some good friends here. I'm her father and it's my pleasure meeting you" Mr. Kim said and the two gave him a smile. "It's out pleasure meeting you too sir" Kai said and Mr. Kim patted Kai's shoulder and chuckled. "Such nice kids.. let's talk later okay? I just need to settle my daughter's papers" Mr. Kim said and the two nodded their heads.
Soon after Mr. Kim went inside the room, Yoona immediately engulfed her friends into a tight hug.
"I've missed you!" Yoona said while still hugging Taeyeon. Patting her friend's back, Taeyeon chuckled and pushed Yoona a little before pinching her friend's cheeks.
"I've missed you too" Taeyeon said sincerely. "So.. you're coming back right? That's why you're here? Right?" Yoona asked hopefully and Taeyeon gave her an apologetic smile. Shaking her head, Taeyeon took Yoona's hand and looked straight into her friend's eyes.
"No.. I.. I came back here to say goodbye"
