"So.. let's go meet uncle. I need to meet him today" Heechul said dragging Taeyeon towards the gates of the house but the Taeyeon stopped when he saw Baekhyun still not moving on his place. Stopping his pace too, Heechul turned around only to see Taeyeon standing right infront of Baekhyun.

"Go home" He heard Taeyeon said. "You heard her dude.. go home" Heechul said with a smirk on his face while gesturing Baekhyun to leave with his hands. Flexing his jaw on the other hand, Baekhyun gave Heechul one last look before making his way towards his car and slamming the door close and driving.

"Such  a ru--" Heechul said but then stopped when Taeyeon immediately grabbed his wrist after ahe took a step to catch after Baekhyun.

"Oppa stop. You should't have played with him in the first place" Taeyeon said while glaring at him and the frown on Heechul's face immediately disapeared and was now replaced with a bright smile. Shaking her head, Taeyeon thought, they're still cousins after all.

"So what brings you here? It's been years you know" Taeyen said finally changing her topic and Heechul gave her a sheepish smile while scratching the back of his head.l "I know, I know.. it's been years since I went here. It was like.. after aunt died" Heechul said and Taeyeon forced a smile.

"I heard what happened to your dad Taeng" Heechul said and Taeyeon forced a smile before nodding his head. "You should have came to me.. you know I'll help you right? Besides, dad's trying to knock some sense off uncle but your old man won't listen to dad. We wanted to take you in you know" Heechul said and Taeyeon chuckled bitterly.

"You know that I won't leave dad after everything that he had done to me right? I understand him, I saw how he lost himself when he lost mom and putting myself in his shoes maybe I would lose myself too" Taeyeon said and Heechul smirked.

"Since when did you ever learn to speak that way? Say, are you dating someone?" Heechul asked with a teasing grin on his face and Taeyeon shove it off causing him to glare at her. "No.." Taeyeon answered shortly and made her way towards the gates, about to hold the handle, Taeyeon stopped when she heard a voice calling her name.

"Taeyeon"

Looking up, Taeyeon retreated her hand back and stumbled a few steps back. Why? Because she's scared of him. "I think you have to go now oppa. I think dad's not in a good mood" Taeyeon said while pushiong a confused Heechul back.

Seeing her father walked out of the gates, Taeyeon expected him to slap her and hurt her right away but no, she's wrong. Instead of hitting her, instead of hurting her, Taeyeon's father immediately made his way towards her and gave her a hug. A tight one that is causing Taeyeon to stand there, flabbergasted.

"You silly girl. are you alright now? Are you injured badly" Taeyeon's father asked and Taeyeon stood there not moving. Speechless. "Taeyeon? Taeyeon-ah?" Mr. Kim called and just like a waterfall, Taeyeon's tears escaped her eyes and ran through her cheek uncontrollalbly as soon as she heard her dad call her that way again.

"I'm fine.. s-sorry for not informing you about my whereabouts... dad" Taeyeon said and Mr. Kim hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry princess. Daddy's been so hard on you, I'm sorry, I really do" The old man said and Taeyeon chuckled before wiping her tears away.

"It's alright dad. I'm never mad at you anyway" Taeyeon said and her dad engulfed her into a tight hug again. "I'm sorry princess. Daddy's going to make it up to you, I promise" Taeyeon's father said and Taeyeon nodded her head as she broke their hug.

"Dad.. Heechul oppa's here" Taeyeon said before looking at Heechul with a big smile on his face. "Hi there uncle" Heechul greeted before giving Taeyeon's father a light bow. "I'm glad you're already here" Taeyeon's father said making Taeyeon look at the both of them with confusion.

"You.. know.. that he'll be here dad?" Taeyeon asked and Mr. Kim nodded his head before patting Taeyeon's cheek. "Let's talk inside shall we?" Mr. Kim asked taking Taeyeon's hand with him and Heechul nodded his head walking after them.

Entering the house, Taeyeon got even more surprised to see it be well organized again just like back when her mom was still alive. Looking around, Taeyeon can't help but to tear up knowing that her dad changed. "You like it?" Mr. Kim asked when he noticed that Taeyeon's been staring at their old family portrait hanging back on the wall again.

"Yes dad" Taeyeon said while nodding her head. "I'm glad you do.. let's eat first shall we?" Mr. Kim asked and Taeyeon nodded her head following her dad behind. Entering the kitchen, Taeyeon shook her head when she noticed that Heechul's ransacking their kitchen.

"Just like the old time eh?" Mr. Kim asked Taeyeon when he too noticed Heechul ransacking the fridge. Nodding her head, Taeyeon chuckled before shaking her head. "Oppa, the food's on the table" Taeyeon said and Heechul stuck his tongue out before making his way towards the table and sitting beside Taeyeon.

"Seriously, oppa. You didn't grew up, mentally" Taeyeon said and Heechul chuckled before shaking his head. "To be honest too my dear cousin. You didn't grow up too, literally" Heechul said before hanging his arms around Taeyeon's shoulder causing the latter to glare at him and earning an elbow hit from Taeyeon.

Letting out a groan, Heechul removed his arms around Taeyeon and rubbed his stomach causing Taeyeon to beam a smile. "You're.. mean" Heechul said and Taeyeon stuck her tongue out before facing her dad who';s been watching them.

"These kids" He said causing Taeyeon to chuckle and there, they started their lunch.

"So.. what did your father say about my question?" Mr. Kim suddenly asked after a while of silence causing Heechul to look up to him and gave him a small smile while nodding his head. "Dad said it's not a problem if you want your share with the family business back. After all, you're still a part of it" Heechul answered and Taeyeon looked back and forth from her dad and Heechul qustioningly.

"What's.. going on?" Taeyeon asked curiously and his head reached out for her hand across the table and gave her a small smile. "I'm going to take my position back in the family business and you're going to study again. That's what Heechul and I are talking about" Mr. Kim said and Heechul nodded agreeing with him.

"But don't you want to just stay here.. I can always work for you" Taeyeon said and Mr. Kim shook his head firmly.

"No, giving you what you need is my responsiblity. Just study, that's what I want you to do for me" Mr. Kim said and Taeyeon was about to say something and Heechul covered her mouth causing her to glare at him. "Uncle's right.. just focus on your studies. You're smart, don't waste it" Heechul said and Taeyeon can't do anything but to nod her head. After all, they're right.

She shouldn't waste the chance. Smiling to herself, Taeyeon let out a sigh of relief.

Finally, she thought.

This is life.
