BDC Chapter 40

"Are we there yet?" Taeyeon asked suddenly after a few moments of silence engulfed them. Glancing at her sidewards, Baekhyun nodded his head before focusing on the road again. Looking outside the window, Taeyeon saw big rice fields and some little houses that was standing a few meters away from each other. 
"It's beautiful here" Taeyeon mumbled and Baekhyun glanced sidewards at her before smiling. 
"I agree, but it's not as beautiful as you" Baekhyun said as he turned his eyes on the road and Taeyeon scoffed before shaking her head. Chuckling, Baekhyun made a turn and they entered a place just near the forest. Passing through it, Taeyeon noticed that mountains were visible from her line of sight. 
"Look here" Baekhyun said and Taeyeon turned her gaze towards Baekhyun and saw the sea on the other side. Railings run through the road and Taeyeon saw the sea just below, smiling, Taeyeon felt a bit more excited than she was earlier. 
"You want to go down now?" Baekhyun asked and Taeyeon nodded her head eagerly. "Just wait a bit more okay? We just have to go down from this road" Baekhyun said with a smile and Taeyeon nodded her head then furrowed her brows. 
"Are.. we.. really going to do the project here?" Taeyeon questioned and Baekhyun nodded his head making careful turns at the curved road. "Yes.. I know this looks weird to you now, us going out of town just for a simple project. But the kids here suffered from a disaster before, a tsunami to be exact and I thought maybe we can discuss about hope?" Baekhyun asked and Taeyeon pondered about it for a moment before nodding her head with a smile plastered on her face. 
"That sounds interesting" Taeyeon said and Baekhyun smiled. "I also heard that the treatment with the trauma the kids had is still ongoing we can help" Baekhyun added and Taeyeon nodded her head as she remembered something. 
She had experienced traumatic times in her life too, multiple times and she just realized right now that even when she herself thought that she's in the worse position. Someone out there suffered more than what she did. 
"Is there something wrong?" Baekhyun asked worriedly upon Taeyeon's sudden silence. Smiling weakly, Taeyeon shook her head. "I just remembered something silly.. don't worry" Taeyeon said reassuringly and Baekhyun only nodded his head not wanting to interfere with her further anymore knowing that he might just scare the girl off. 
"Alright.. you say so. We're here" Baekhyun said as he stopped the car and Taeyeon nodded her head. Going out, Taeyeon saw the white sand covering the whole place as the clear blue sea greeted them. Inhaling the fresh air, Taeyeon walked towards the sea. 
"Aren't you going to remove your shoes. sand might get on it" Baekhyun said and Taeyeon stopped before taking her shoe off and so as Baekhyun. After doing so, Baekhyun and Taeyeon decided to get their bags and head to the cabin Baekhuyn reserved for them. 
"Do you want to rest?" Baekhyun asked as soon as Taeyeon got out from her room. "I felt like I'm going to be stiff if I stayed sitting again" Taeyeon said and Baekhyun chuckled before nodding his head. He expected her to be tired and at all but there Taeyeon was, standing just a few steps away from him with a smile on her face. 
"Do you want to take a stroll around? I'm planning to meet someone too" Baekhyun said and Taeyeon nodded her head. "Aren't you tired?" Taeyeon asked and even when he's already tired and felt like he's going to pass out soon, Baekhyun shook his head with a smile visible on his face. 
"No.. not at all" He said and Taeyeon furrowed her brows. "Are you sure?" Taeyeon asked again and Baekhyun nodded his head reassuringly. He would be lying if he says he doesn't want to rest but knowing that Taeyeon wants to go outside and take a walk, he just can't let hr be alone right? 
Right.
He needs to look after her. After all, she's his responsibility.
"If you're tired.. we can just stay here" Taeyeon said and Baekhyun shook his head. "Let's go take a stroll around and eat.. I'm hungry" Baekhyun said sheepishly and Taeyeon chuckled before nodding her head. Going out of the cabin, the two strolled. 
Hand in hand. 
"Do you think we can eat here?" Baekhyun asked while pointing at a random food store along the beach and Taeyeon nodded her head as they both entered the place. Taking a seat near the wooden railing, Taeyeon stared at the bright blue sea. 
"It's going to get all dried up if you keep looking at it like that" Baekhyun said while looking at her and Taeyeon chuckled before turning her gaze and meeting his eyes haflway. Furrowing her brows, Taeyeon continued to look at the sea. 
"It's just too beautiful" Taeyeon muttered and Baekhyun smiled. Putting his elbow above the table, Baekhyun used his hand to support his head and continue to keep staring Taeyeon's face. "I know" Baekhyun answered as he kept staring at her. 
Maybe his answer wasn't meant for the sea, maybe it was really for Taeyeon. 
"The sea is beside you.. look there" Taeyeon said as she looked at him and reached out to his face before gently turning it to the side towards the sea. "I don't want to" Baekhyun answered with a smile as he turned his head and stared at her again. 
"You'll get used to my face later if you keep staring at me.." Taeyeon answered while still looking at the sea and Baekhyun chuckled with his eyes never leaving her face. He loved how the sun illuminated Taeyeon's face giving him a clearer view of her, he loved how every small detail of her face was seen from his line of view.
"Never" He confidently said and Taeyeon looks at him in disbelief. Breaking their staring contest, Baekhyun got up and pinched Taeyeon's cheeks before going to the counter. "I'll be back" He said with a smile and Taeyeon nodded her head as she watched him walk away.
Shaking her head, Taeyeon smiled.
Noticing Baekhyun looking at her with a smile, Taeyeon shook her head as she shyly looked away and felt her heart beating uncontrollably. Furrowing her brows, Taeyeon glanced at Baekhyun and onto the sea. 
Is she starting to fall for him?
