"Thanks doc.. I'll make sure she stays here until she's healed"
"You're welcome.. I'll take my leave now"
"Sure doc"
"I can't stay here" Taeyeon retorted soon right after Baekhyun closed the door of her hospital room. Letting out a sigh, Baekhyun pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed before shaking his head and looking worriedly at Taeyeon. "Don't force yourself alright? If I hadn't known better you're starving earlier. Lucky we got here on time and you got something to eat before you got completely knocked out" Baekhyun said sternly and Taeyeon released a sigh before looking out of the window.
"You don't know what will happen to me if you keep me here" Taeyeon muttered while still looking outside the window and Baekhyun knew what she's talking about. Walking closer to her, Baekhyun looked at her reflection in the mirror and frowned. "I know and I won't let it happen. Get some rest" Baekhyun said and without even waiting for Taeyeon's reply. He left.
He knew it isn't right to force her but it's the only way for him to keep her away from danger.
He doesn't care if she'll hate him more after this, all he wants for her is gain her health back.
As soon as possible.
Walking out of the room, Baekhyun settled himself down on the bench and sighed. Covering his face with both of his hands, Baekhyun groaned as he slumbed his back on the wall and looked up into the white ceiling. It's himself anymore, he's not like this before, he doesn't care about anyone before especially if it's a woman. But then Taeyeon came.. she changed him.
Completely.
Pushing himself up, Baekhyun decided to take a stroll around knowing that staying with Taeyeon inside a room won't be such a good thing. He wants to give her space and staying there with her won't be such a good idea knowing that she still hates him. Going out of the hospital doors, Baekhyun walked down the stairs with his hands snuggled inside his coat as the cold breeze greeted him.
Not knowing where to go, Baekhyun walked wherever his feet took him but then suddenly stopped when he bumped into someone. "Sorry" Baekhyun said but the man seemed to be a bit drunk. Pushing him, the man grabbed his collar harshly. "Don't you look where you're walking?! You have eyes right?!" He said angrily and Baekhyun sighed not wanting to initiate a fight.
"I'm sorry sir" Baekhyun said and the man pushed him hardly causing him to stumble back. "Lucky I'm looking for my daughter. Or else you got some beating" He said before walking and Baekhyun furrowed his brows. Seeing the man walk away, Baekhyun, out of curiosity followed him behind silently.
"Kim Taeyeon where the hell are you?! You're really going to get some beating from me"
Baekhyun heard the man said and his eyes widened. Stepping back, Baekhyun stepped into a twig causing the man to turn around and give him a questioning look. "Are you following me?" He asked and Baekhyun opened his mouth trying to say something when the man pushed him causing him to fall down on the pavement.
"The hell is this.. kids nowadays" He muttered.
"I bet you don't know me sir but I know your daughter" Baekhyun immediately spoke up when the man turned his back and was about to walk away. "What?" He asked with a tone of annoyance. "You know my daughter?" He asked while giving him a scrutinizing look and Baekhyun clenched his fist and nodded his head causing the man to chuckle sarcastically.
"That useless kid.. I bet she did nothing back in Seoul but to flirt with every man she can" He said and Baekhyun flexed his jaw even more. "She's not.." Baekhuyn defended and the man looked at him and chuckled sarcastically. "I know her more than you know her" He said confidently and Baekhyun got enough of his sarcasm. Not minding that he's Taeyeon's father, Baekhyun grabbed his collar and looked straight into the man's eyes with fire burning in his eyes.
"DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TAEYEON SUFFERED THERE BACK IN SEOUL?! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW SHE REJECTED HERSELF JUST TO GIVE YOU THE FREAKING MONEY YOU'RE DEMANDING HER?! ISN'T IT YOUR JOB TO PROVIDE HER THINGS SIR?! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SHE GETS BULLIED AT SCHOOL EVERYDAY?! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TIME SHE SPENDS WORKING JUST TO GIVE YOU EVERYTHING?! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SHE LOVES YOU?! DO YOU?!"
That woke Taeyeon's father up, standing there frozen. The man looked down, guilty.
"She's not being able to sleep at night because of the nightmares you gave her, she's not opening herself up to anyone because of the opened scars you gave her, you don't know how much she suffered in your hands. You don't know how hard it is for her back there.. you don't know how much she blames her own self because of her mother's loss. You don't know" Baekhyun said as he clenched his fist and kicked the nearest trash bin standing trying to vent all his frustrations out. Yes, he knows he's being disrespectful but it's the only way for Taeyeon not to get hurt again.
"I-I'm.." Taeyeon's father trailed finally realizing what he's been doing to his daughter. "I don't know.. I.. I lost myself when I lost my wife. I.. I hurted my daughter" Taeyeon's father said as he fell down on the pavement. Kneeling, he cried feeling too bad about everything he did to his daughter.
He's a monster.
"I.. I'm sorry.. I'm sorry" He said before wiping the tears that blurred his vision. "Where is she? Where is Taeyeon?" He asked and Baekhyun looked away causing him to stand up and approach him. "Where is my daughter?" He asked again and Baekhyun sighed before shaking his head and looking at Taeyeon's father.
"I don't think you should see her in such a bad condition sir. She'll be back, I assure you but for now I think leaving her alone would be the best" Baekhyun said and instead of being angry, Taeyeon's father nodded his head understanding that Baekhyun is just trying to protect Taeyeon.
"I know.. and.. thank you for being such a good friend to her" Taeyeon's father said with his voice full on sincerity and Baekhyun looked down before shaking his head remembering all the pain he caused Taeyeon. Smiling bitterly, tears flowed down his cheeks.
"I'm a bad friend sir.. I'm a bad friend.."
