Naiirita ako. And I don’t understand why. Is it because hindi sinabi ni Clementine na birthday pala niya yesterday? Partly yes. I mean, it’s the only day of the year that she gets to remember being born into this world. Pa’no niya nagawang itago? Was it so hard for her to tell me? I can talk to Mom naman kung ayaw niyang mag-celebrate at the party. I looked stupid tuloy kanina.

And in front of that Milo pa.

 

I have to redeem myself.

 

VIBER MESSAGE TO ALL: Are you free tomorrow around dinner time? Let’s celebrate Clementine’s birthday. Any suggestions where? Just a simple eat-out would do.

 

Every time na naaalala ko ‘yung pag-scoff nung Milo na ‘yun, I really want to whack his head so he’d hear bells. What an obvious show-off. Bakit hindi nalang niya kantahan si Clementine alone? Kailangan talaga in front of everyone else? In front of ME? As if I’m impressed. If I hadn’t stopped playing guitar, mas magaling ako sa kanya for sure. Which reminds me, I better take that hobby up again. It might come handy in the future.

PresidentVlad: Simple celebration? How about dinner sa Golden Era’s? Kami na lang ni Max ang magpapa-reserve.

Lalo akong naiinis whenever I remember how dense Clementine is. Hindi niya talaga makita ‘yung ulterior motive ni Milo. What if that guy learns about her being ‘untouched’? Nakakagalit talaga. Add that to the fact that she didn’t seem to appreciate my gift for her. Nakakatampo.

PrincessCarlene: I want to treat her sana to a shopping spree.

 

Shopping spree? Remembering how Clementine reacted nung inaya ko siya sa Greenbelt, I know she’s not a shopaholic unlike my princess cousin na kapag sinabing shopping, shop-til-you-drop talaga.

 

CyannGwapo: Ate Carsie, she doesn’t do shopping. Unless you take her to Greenhills -_-“

 

Now that I think about it, everything about her screams ‘simple’. Yung pananamit niya and yung mga gamit niya. She doesn’t even wear make-up or accessories. I bet, kung hindi pa nahulog sa toilet bowl yung Jurassic phone niya, she’s still gonna use it pa until it gives up on her.

 

So, that gives me simple, functional, practical. Ano pa ba ang pwedeng gift that she’d surely like or use? Well, aside from books. Ang dami na niyang librong babasahin. And I don’t want to buy her something to read anymore. Mamaya hindi na naman niya magustuhan.

 

TO ALL: No expensive gifts please. Ate Carsie, can you hold off on the shopping na lang?

 

Naaalala ko na naman yung serenade ala-Milo. If he really wants to make Clementine all giddy, he should’ve done it in front of a larger audience. Coz that’s what I would do if I were him. Chicks dig those kinds of stunts.
