Gloomy Remnant

Iron POV

Arriving on Remnant 74 we instantly notice something off. 

Faunus: "You guys feel that?"

Speed: "Yeah. The air, it feels..."

Y/N: "Mournful."

John: "Wonder why that is."

Iron: "Let's go find out."

Pulling up a map we all travel to the nearest town. Arriving at Vale we see its streets completely empty. 

Speed: "I've never known Vale to be so empty."

Iron: "Something's not right."

We all land looking around.

Y/N: "Did something happen to this world?"

Iron: "No. Satellite scans show people were here as recently as yesterday."

John: "So then where the heck is everyone?"

Faunus: "I know a way we can find out."

We all look at him. He then heads to a payphone. He enters and scans through a phonebook.

Iron: "Didn't think they still had these."

Tapping a name he looks at us.

Faunus: "Any chance any of you have a quarter?"

Speed vibrates his hand phasing into the payphone. Withdrawing his hand he displays a quarter. Faunus pops it in and dials the number. After a couple rings we hear a voice.

Woman: "Hello?"

Faunus: "Yes. Is this Weiss?"

Weiss: "Yes. May I ask who's calling?"

Faunus: "My name's Faunus. And I wondering if we could speak with you."

Weiss: "Why?"

Faunus: "There's a lot to explain. Is it okay if you met us here in Vale?"

He looks across the street.

Faunus: "At Mousse's Cake and Pastry. Please."

There's a prolong silence. We then finally hear her voice.

Weiss: "Okay. I'll be right there."

Faunus: "Thank you."

He hangs up. Near instantly a portal opens up. Through it walks Weiss holding a baby. We walk to the meeting spot.

Weiss: "Alright. Start explaining."

I explain everything. 

Iron: "And now we're here to get him so that we may hopefully beat this guy."

Weiss: "I'm afraid that'll be impossible."

Faunus: "Why?"

Weiss: "Because he'd dead."

Our hearts sink as shock consumes us.

Speed: "How?"

She explains what all happened. By the end I try my best to not get angry.

Weiss: "Nowadays I just spend all my time in that empty house."

She smiles looking at the baby boy in her arms.

Weiss: "But thanks to little Zander here, a piece of him is still here. That brings some level of comfort."

Speed: "May we see his grave?"

She nods. We soon arrive at Super's grave which's on a cliff overlooking the ocean.

Weiss: "I picked this spot because I thought he'd appreciate the view."

We all look at the grave of our fallen comrade.

Y/N: "I can't believe he's really gone."

Speed: "Now how're we gonna beat Koda and Nero's master?"

Faunus: "Guess we'll just have to settle for us five."

Iron: "No. There's gotta be some way to bring him back. Speed, can't you trave back in time to save him?"

Speed: "Yeah. But I messed with time once and it erased me from reality. So if I do that we'll still be short one man."

Faunus: "Then we're doomed."

John: "Never say that. There's always a way. And I have that way."

We all tilt our heads. He then kneels at Super's grave.

Iron: "What're you gonna do?"

He places his hand on Super's tombstone.

John: "I know heaven feels amazing. But we need you to come back now. We have a war to win."

He now lays his head on the tombstone. 

John: *whisper* "I promise. When the time comes, you'll return to paradise. Now come on. We've got work to do."
