Battle For The Tree

3rd POV

All six heroes rush towards Deus. He manifests legions of spiked tendrils which he soon sends out. Iron manifests a flamethrower on each wrist and aims them at the tendrils. The tendrils are burned to ashes but are quickly replaced by spiked pillars that erupt from the ground.

Amica forms two massive bone axes. Then in a cross swing he cleaves every pillar in half. Speed runs around and tosses every pillar half into the air. Meanwhile Faunus webs them all into a massive boulder. Once formed Rider uses a chain to sling it high into the air.

Once at peak altitude Super places his hands on the boulder and rockets towards the ground. Deus is crushed under the massive boulder which sinks halfway into the ground. But it rumbles before exploding into tiny pieces. Through the rubble a massive hand of darkness waves around, dispersing the heroes.

Deus: "Is that the best you lot got?"

Speed: "Not by a long shot."

Speed vibrates his fist and punches Deus. Super goes to catch him but Deus backhands Super into the Tree. It shakes while emitting a faint flicker. Deus places his hand on Super's chest ready to plunk out his heart. But it's snagged by a web.

Deus: "No you don't."

Grabbing the strand with his spare hand he pulls the web. Then cracking the web like a whip Faunus is flung into the Tree. Deus turns back to Super when his face is grabbed. He's swung around and slammed back first into the Tree. Amica raises his claws when Deus phases through him, holding Y/N by his throat.

Deus: "Not so powerful now, are you?"

Y/N smiles. He pokes Deus in his eyes causing him to drop Y/N. Amica launches himself at Y/N, engulfing him. Then aiming his arms he sends two spiked tendrils into Deus' chest. Finally snaping his arms downwards he launches Deus higher up the Tree.

Iron flies under Deus. He then unleashes a beam from his H.E.A.R.T. It hits Deus in his chest, sending him even higher. Finally Rider manifests a sword of light and flies towards Deus, skewering his chest. Flapping his wings he rockets towards the ground. Upon contact Deus is pinned to the ground by Rider's sword.

Rider: "Give up. You've lost."

Deus: "Lost? You seriously think I've lost?"

He expels spikes that push the heroes back. He then frees himself from the sword. He then begins walking towards the Tree.

Deus: "I'll keep fighting till I win. Even if drags on into the next generation."

He places his hand on the Tree. He begins phasing into it when the heroes launch an attack that latches onto Deus.

Iron: "You will not win!!!!"

They pull with all of their might. Deus fully stops but tries to push further. The heroes are partially drug forward. But with every ounce of vigor they can muster they deliver one final tug. Deus is forcibly yanked out of the Tree. He lands on the ground where the heroes surround him.

Faunus: "Face it. We beat you."

Deus only smiles.

Deus: "You may have won today. But one day, I shall claim true victory. I only need to bide my time."

He laughs manically. But he's quickly shut up by Amica biting off his head.

Amica: "Oum, even as a ghost he's a pompous asshole."

The heroes all laugh.
