Heroic Reunion

Faunus POV

Super: "Then I take back my last statement."

I look back at Super.

Faunus: "So what brigs to my humble universe?"

He shows a blank expression.

Super: "I'd rather explain it at your house."

Faunus: "Ok."

Hopping onto his back he takes off at full speed. Upon landing I hop off as we walk through the front down.

Faunus: "You've gotten faster."

Super: "Training does tend to have that result."

Faunus: "What's the speed now?"

Super: "Just a little over hypersonic."

Faunus: "You definitely have gotten stronger. And in nine months too is crazy."

Super: "Turns out dying and getting resurrected already upped my strength. Tack on countless space missions and voila."

We enter my house where everyone is chatting. Their eyes then land on us.

???: "Uncle Super!!!!"

Susan jumps onto his chest.

Susan: "Do the thing!!!"

Super: "What thing?"

Susan: *giggles* "You know what thing."

Super: "Oh, this thing?"

He hovers to the ceiling. The holding her tight he zips around. Upon landing she hops down and stumbles away.

Blake: "Long time no see Super."

He kisses her hand.

Super: "Blake, you look lovely as ever."

Blake: "You probably say that to every me."

Noir: "Nice beard."

Super: "Thanks. Though there're more gray than I'd like."

Noir: "Just part of getting old."

Blake: "So what brings you here?"

He gets serious.

Super: "I need to speak with you and Faunus. Alone."

Everyone but us three leave the living room.

Blake: "How bad is it?"

Super: "Dire. You remember Deus?'

Nothing but dread fills the air.

Faunus: "Be hard not to. On account of him briefly destroying all of reality."

Blake: "I faintly remember that day. It started so peacefully. Then... nothing. Like floating in a cold void. No sense of self, time nothing. Just... darkness."

Faunus: "Why?"

Super: "He's alive."

My heart drops to my stomach.

Faunus: "How?"

Super: "Thanks to the harmony Glitch created we were able to contact older universes. One of them had a powerful time manipulator. Through him we have some idea as to how he survived."

Faunus: "You're starting to sound like we have a mission."

Super: "We do. And its timing is crucial. You in?"

I look at Blake. She narrows her eyes.

Blake: "Go kick that guy's ass."

I smile. Getting to my feet I join Super.

Faunus: "Let's rock."

Super mashes in his A.M.I.D sending us hurtling through the multiverse. We soon arrive at the old base. Looking around I see the others already waiting.

Amica: *appears* "Faunus!!!"

I'm pulled into his grasp by tendrils. He squeezes the life out of me.

Amica: "We have missed you greatly!"

Faunus: "I missed you too big guy."

I'm surrounded by the others.

Iron: "How's the grandkid?"

Faunus: "Ready to be born."

Speed: "Nervous?"

Faunus: "Some. It's really Noir that's nervous."

Rider: "She'll be alright. Grandkids are usually easier to care for compared to kids."

Iron: "Coming from the man who's already a grandad."

Rider: "Shut up tinman."

We all share a laugh. I then turn to Super.

Faunus: "Hate to ruin the good time, but let's speak to this time person."

The mood shifts drastically. Iron displays a holographic keyboard on his forearm. Tapping it a few times a rift opens in front of us. From it walks out a youngish man in light gray dress pants, same colored vest and bright white button up shirt.

Super: "Everyone, meet Cronos."

Cronos: "Let's get started."
