Cronos

Faunus POV

We now stand before Cronos.

Cronos: "My name is Cronos. I hail from Remnant 7 and have complete control over time."

Rider: "Remnant 7? Your home was among the first destroyed by Deus right?"

Cronos: "Correct."

Amica: *appears* "If you have control over time, why didn't you just trap Deus in a time loop?"

Cronos: "I did. I trapped both him and myself in one. But I could feel his minions destroying everything. When I felt my mother's life fade I couldn't focus anymore. He broke free and beat me until I was just alive enough to watch as my world faded into the void."

Amica: "I am sorry. I did not mean to sound mean."

Cronos: "No worries. My entire family is back and we live peacefully."

Iron: "Glad to hear it. Now shall we go over what you found?"

Cronos: "Yes."

The area around us changes to the tree. Looking around we see our kids heading for the falling tree.

Cronos: "As you know after defeating the twisted versions of yourselves, your children went to save the tree. But while they did Deus faded into another plane of existence. He smiled as he went to rule the Undergrowth. But his joy faded when it disappeared thanks to Glitch."

The scene changes to Deus who just angerly stares into the void.

Cronos: "For eons he could only hear the peace above him, unable to escape his dark prison. This went on until finally the end of time had arrived. But thanks to his prison he was spared from the great cosmic reset."

Faunus: "Great cosmic reset?"

Cronos: "Yes. It happens every time reality hits the end of its cycle. To avoid any inconsistencies the Tree of Reality lets reality loosely replay the same way. This is where that sense of Deja vu comes from. It's fragments of past cycles briefly colliding, only to branch out to avoid a full repeat."

Speed: "But doesn't that mean the Tree also resets?"

Cronos: "No. Like a regular tree it develops layers. You're but the current layer."

Super: "What happened to Deus after the reset?"

The scene one again changes, this time to Deus watching a series of lights.

Cronos: "He used the great reset to escape. From there he viewed history, waiting to make his return. And that time is now."

Y/N: "Do you know what his current goal is?"

Cronos: "From what I can deduce he's scouring the multiverse for keys."

Iron: "Keys?"

Cronos: "The seven keys of reality."

Rider: "Explain."

Cronos: "According to a book in my mom's library there's supposedly a door somewhere past existence."

Faunus: "Door to where?"

Cronos: "Realm Zero."

We look at him.

Super: "What's Realm Zero?"

Cronos: "Little is known about it. But what is known is that it's the birthplace for everything. From the multiverse to the Tree and Creator himself."

Amia: "What happens when Deus gets these keys?"

Cronos: "The door to Realm Zero will open and whatever's there will be at his full control."

Speed: "We have our mission. I say we cut off Deus and make sure he stays dead this time."
