Another Hero Gained

3rd POV

In a different Remnant we see nothing but bliss. Everyone's walking to their location with a smile on their face. But the tranquility is broken by a speeding van. It barrels down the road at breakneck speed.

Cop: "Pull over now!"

Driver: "You'll never take me alive!!!"

He brings the pedal to the floor. This kicks the van into top gear as it redlines its engine. 

Cop2: "We'll never catch him."

Panning slightly up we spot two black figures leaping through the air. The two cops smile.

Cop: "Backup has arrived."

Panning to the rooftops we see a certain father and daughter duo leaping after the van.

Noir: "How you wanna do this dad?"

Faunus: "I'll take care of the van. You make sure no civilians are in the way."

Noir: "Copy."

They leap down towards the action. Bracing himself Faunus lands on the van hood crushing it in on itself. Meanwhile Noir uses web strands to pull any bystanders out of the way. As the van goes flying Faunus catches it by the roof smiling.

Faunus: "It's over."

Driver: "Crap."

Setting the van down the cops arrest the perp escorting him away.

Cop: "Thanks for all your help."

Noir: "Happy to help."

A bright flash emits from the top of a building that's being constructed.

Noir: "That can't be good."

Faunus: "Let's check it out."

They leap from building to building landing on the exposed top floor. There they see John and Iron. 

Iron: "Are you-"

He raises his hand. This makes Noir's and her dad's sixth sense fire up. They both attach a web to Iron's lifted arm.  He aims his other arm firing a blast of light. Right when the father and daughter are about to attack John release some of his power making the fighters freeze.

John: "We're not here to fight. We've come to have a word with him."

He points to Faunus making Noir become nervous.

Noir: "Why?"

Iron: "We require his assistance. The fate of the universe is at stake."

Faunus: "Let's talk."

They head to his nice apartment where they're greeted by Blake.

Blake: "Hey guys."

She kisses her husband and daughter. She then spots John and Iron.

Blake: "Who're these guys?"

Faunus: "People who need to talk to me."

Blake: "Noir, mind giving us the living room?"

Noir: "Of course."

She heads upstairs to her room. The adults then take a seat.

Blake: "So what'd you wanna talk about?"

They explain the dire situation that's ahead. They lean back.

Faunus: "That's a tall order."

Blake: "No kidding. Saving every known world."

John: "I know it's a lot to ask. But we wouldn't be asking if we thought he couldn't handle it."

Faunus: "I'd love to help you guys, really. But I've got a family to look after. Plus-"

Blake: "Go help them."

He looks at her.

Faunus: "You want me to?"

Blake: "You're a hero right? Go be a hero to the universe."

He smiles. Running away he comes back with a duffle bag slung over his shoulder.

Iron: "Welcome to this motly crue of heroes."

Blake kisses her husband.

Blake: "Be back soon okay?"

He hugs her tightly.

Y/N: "I will."

John creates a rift looking at it.

John: "Ready?"

Faunus: "Yep."

The three walk through the rift heading to their last recruit.
