Trouble brews for the world of Remnant. A stranger from another world has appeared bearing a message. All known worlds are in mortal danger. Watch as a group of heroes take a stand against whatever is on the horizon.
I look at my scroll to see an alert. Frowning I put it down and look at Noir.
Faunus: "Dad's gotta go to work."
She becomes sad but smiles to hide it.
Noir: "Be careful okay?"
Faunus: "I will."
Walking out of the facility I go barefoot while ditching my tie. Then undoing the first two buttons of my shirt I swing towards the trouble. Arriving in uptown I see a cop car get thrown into the air. Following its path I see it heading for a woman pushing a baby stroller. Pulling myself to the ground I hold my hands up, catching the car by its roof.
Woman: "Thank you."
Faunus: "Just get to safety."
She nods. I set the car down when I hear laughing. Turning that direction I see a woman of a dark complexation and green dreads.
Faunus: "Cease your criminal activities and stand down."
Woman: "Not a chance."
I leap to punch her. She deeply inhales and shouts. Only her shout is amplified by a million and physically launches me into the side of a building. I shake my head, trying to regain equilibrium.
Faunus: "That's a new power."
Rolling behind a car I avoid another voice attack. It strikes the building and brings it to the ground. Leaping into the air I web two trashcans. With a cross tug the woman is crushed between them.
Woman: "That hurt."
She releases a condensed scream that takes the shape of a solid beam. Running to the side the beam physically destroys everything it touches. I pull a man hole cover to me. Holding it up the beam is sent upward.
Faunus: "Gotta take her down before we destroy the entire block. But how? That voice won't let up enough for me to get close. Think Faunus think."
I look over my shoulder smiling. Pulling a building chunk to me I toss at the fire hydrant. It's broken causing a powerful water stream to head for me. It hits my back rocketing me towards the shrieking woman.
The man hole cover crashes into her mouth causing her scream to explode and send us away. I hit a lamppost before staggering to my feet. Looking at the woman I see her looking at me with a look of fury. She then wipes the blood from her mouth.
Woman: *raspy* "My turn."
She inhales. She then screams far louder than before. I close my eyes, bracing for an attack. But instead I hear a whoosh. Looking up I see the woman and her attack have been frozen.
Faunus: "What the heck?"
???: "No need to thank me."
I look up.
Faunus: "I had that."
He lands, crossing his arms.
Super: "Sure. Cause accepting your death is having it.
We both smile before hugging each other.
Faunus: "It's good to see you old friend."
Super: "You too."
We part looking each other over.
Faunus: "New suit?"
He looks it over.
Super: "Yeah. Turns out the last one wasn't built to withstand a fire planet exploding."
I tilt my head in confusion.
Super: "Long story. But you, never knew you to wear a suit. Especially with those colors."
I look down at my black suit and green shirt.
Faunus: "What's wrong with these colors?"
Super: "They're too monochrome. You'd think you were going through an emo phase."
Faunus: "My wife picked out this suit."
