Why Me

Glitch POV

Ember: "With each empty world I found I began to lose hope that there were others. But eventually I found them. Each had been sent away from their world. We all found comfort knowing our parents were all on the same team. Once were united we set out to find out what was going on."

Glitch: "But how does this tie into me?"

Ember: "Back before life was changed my grandpa spoke of visions he had been having."

Glitch: "What were they?"

Ember: "A figure whispering to him a warning. For one day all life would fall. But in mist of despair a figure with the strength of the world would lift it back up. And I believe you are that figure."

I tilt my head.

Glitch: "Why?"

Ember: "We've all kept a close eye on what's been going on in the multiverse. And when we saw you casually floating through it, we knew it could only be you."

I go to say something when Ember puts her finger to her earpiece.

Ember: "Yes? Where? Be right there."

She takes off running. I run after her. Eventually we arrive at a small shack where we find Noir.

Ember: "What do you got?"

Noir picks up a piece of cloth.

Ember: "A cloth?"

Noir: "It may look normal. But it's not. I recognize the scent on it."

Ember: "Who's is it?"

Noir: "Zander's dad, Super."

Ember goes wide eyed. She then taps her earpiece.

Ember: "Everyone to base."

Turning her A.M.I.D. we leave the current world, arriving back at where we first were.

Lily: "Everything okay?"

Ember: "Noir found a cloth that has Super's scent on it."

They now become shocked.

Zander: "How's that possible?"

Ember: "I have no idea. But we're gonna find out. Axel, work your magic."

He's tossed the cloth. He then walks away.

Zander: "You don't think they could still be alive, do you?"

Chase: "It's a possibility. But it'll be for the best we don't get our hopes up."

After a couple minutes later Axel comes back.

Axel: "It's him."

Zander: "How? It just doesn't make any sense. I saw him disappear."

Axel: "I don't know. But I vote we find out."

Ember: "You know where he is?"

Axel: "Maybe. The device used was based on files from my dad's archives. It was an older invention but since he made it, it should be accurate."

Ember: "Take us there."

He nods. Mashing the dial to his A.M.I.D. we're transported to another world. This one however has a stormy sky and a dense atmosphere of dread.

Chase: "Wonder where he could be."

Noir: "Look out!!!"

She shoots web strands at Lily, pulling her away. This spares her from being crushed by an unknown object. When the smoke clears we're greeted by a figure dressed in all black. Flowing behind them is a severely torn black cape. At their face we see it covered by a black hood, but glowing red dots shine where their eyes are.

Ember: "Who are you!?!"

They turn to Ember. All of a sudden they fire a dense beam of fire from their eyes. Ember withdraws a bat and swats the beam into the air. But the figure zips to her as a blur and shoulder bashes her into a cliff.
