Realm Zero

Faunus POV

I tilt my head in confusion. He stomps the ground. The impact kicks up enough dirt to completely cover everything. The ground then shakes forcing me to web it for support. After nearly ten seconds of shaking it finally stops. The dust the clears. The soil has turned to dried molten rock while the sky has turned blood red.

Faunus: "That can't be good."

I look at Deus who pulls something out of the ground. When he comes up I go wide eyed seeing a glowing orb.

Faunus: "What's that?"

Deus: "The Seed of Life. The power source to all creation. With it anything can be done. The only limit is your imagination."

He smiles.

Deus: "And I finally have it. Absolute control, in the palm of my hand."

The Seed starts to flicker causing the realm to shake. Acting fast I use a wen strand to yank the Seed out of Deus' hand. The second it hits my hands the shaking stops.

Deus: "Hand it over bug."

Faunus: "No."

Deus: "Don't be stupid. I could crush you before you even have a chance to react."

Faunus: "I'm not scared of you."

He narrows his eyes while clenching his fists.

Deus: "You will be."

He vanishes from sight. All the alarms go off in my body. Twisting to the side I barely avoid a down coming sword. I use a web strand to yank his foot out from under him. He makes a grab for the Seed when I flip to his other side and kick the side of his head. I then run away with all my strength.

Deus: "Get back here!!!"

He flies after me. He begins closing the gap causing me to start panicking.

Faunus: "Can't outrun him. Wish there were buildings I could swing from."

The Seed glows brightly. Buildings begin jetting out of the ground. I smile looking at the Seed.

Faunus: "I could get used to this thing."

With some web I strap the Seed to my chest. Then with a leap I start swinging, gaining distance.

Deus: "No you don't!"

A sonic boom is released. I backflip as he barrels past me. He crashes into and destroys a building. Deus frees himself before releasing several blasts. I make a hard left, one blast hits a building while the others match my turn.

Faunus: "Heat seeking. Perfect."

I slingshot myself through a water tower. Two blasts destroy it while the remaining three still give chase. With a smile I make a right turn. Then firing upwards I swing upwards before perching on a crane. I watch as the blasts hit Deus and knock him out of the sky.

Faunus: "Direct hit. And with that I've sunk your battleship."

I jump as Deus comes plowing through the crane. I aim at a building when Deus grabs my neck and flies forward. He grabs the Seed causing it to flicker.

Deus: "I'll be taking this now."

I grab the seed causing it to flicker too.

Faunus: "No! You'll just turn this place into a fiery hellscape!"

Deus: "That's the point! Now fork it over bug!!!"

Faunus: "Never!! I'll die before I let you have it!!"

Deus: "That can be arranged!!!"

I look at the Seed which flickers chaotically. Deus looks at it as we both show fear.

Deus/Faunus: "Oh shi-"

The Seed expels light that blinds us both.
