Not Afraid

3rd POV

Once the light has subsided Faunus can be seen unmoving. His clothes have been burned to the point only his pants remain, which only reach his knees. He soon twitches before looking up. Before him is the Seed which flickers. He crawls towards it. But it's picked up by Deus who's got slight burns and a completely shredded cloak.

Deus: "Thank you."

He looks over the Seed.

Deus: "Now, where was I? Oh yeah. Wiping you from existence."

He aims the Seed at Faunus.

Deus: "Hold still. Don't wanna miss."

The Seed glows.

Deus: "So long bug."

With all his strength Faunus web yanks Deus' arm to the side. The Seed fires allowing Faunus to get close to Deus. Deus goes kick him but Faunus strafes left, clocking Deus in the right side of his jaw. Narrowing his eyes Deus swings his arm at Faunus. Faunus swerves under getting in front of Deus. Still low Faunus sends a right hook into Deus' stomach. Going upwards a left uppercut collides with Deus' chin. He leans back only for Faunus to web yank him into a headbutt. Deus lands on his back where Faunus pins him and begins repeatedly punching his face.

Deus: "Get off me!!!!"

Placing his hand on Faunus' chest a blast launches him away. After skidding across the floor Faunus rolls onto his feet. He limbos avoiding a right hook. Seeing an opportunity Faunus clamps Deus' neck with his feet and slams him onto his back.

Deus grabs Faunus' ankle and slams him onto the ground. Quickly getting to his feet Deus kicks Faunus' face. But thanks to his sixth sense he rolls, facing Deus' side. Grabbing his head it's slammed into the ground. Faunus then runs, dragging Deus through the dirt.

He grasps Faunus' wrist and burns it. Faunus yelps allowing Deus to grab his throat. Faunus is choke slammed into the ground. He reaches for Deus but has his chest stomped on, driving him further into the dirt. Faunus punches Deus' knee with enough force to make it pop.

Deus: "Asshole!"

Picking his foot up he brings it down on Faunus' face. Webbing the ground behind Deus Faunus pulls himself free. With a leap a delivers a right hook. But Deus catches it smiling.

Deus: "Decay."

There's a brief stalemate. Deus' eyes widen.

Deus: "How?"

He receives a powerful kick to the side of the head. He drops the Seed and tumbles away. When he stops he sees Faunus picking up the Seed.

Deus: "Why? Why didn't my attack kill you!?!"

Faunus: "You rule through fear. That's how you get your power. Only when your opponent is afraid can you use your power. But if they're not afraid then you're powerless. That's why you always injured us first. So we'd be afraid. Well I'm not afraid anymore Deus. Because come on. Would you fear a sad... pathetic... little man who dreams of control when he knows that deep down, he'll never have it?

His face contorts as several veins bulge. Thunder now rolls in as lightning bolts strike the ground with enough force to create a fist sized crater.

Deus: "Not afraid huh?"
