Third point of view.

The night was quiet as you sat behind Mikey on his bike, your arms loosely around his waist, the cool wind brushing against your cheeks as the city lights blurred past. When the bike finally rolled to a stop in front of your house, your heart thudded heavily against your chest.

You haven't been home in a week.

A whole week.

You knew it wasn't your fault, being kidnapped by Tenjiku wasn't exactly something you planned, but that didn't make the knot in your stomach any smaller.

You were scared of facing him.

Your brother would have been worried sick for the past week and you didn't know how to explain all of it to him. You stepped off the bike slowly, your legs stiff, your fingers cold even though Mikey's warmth still lingered on your skin.

Before you could move any farther, Mikey spoke. "Are you sure about this?" he asked quietly. "You don't have to. I can--"

You turned back to him, meeting his gaze and offering him a sma smile.

"Mikey," you said softly, "it's the least I could do for you."

His eyes softened as he turned his head away without saying anything. And seeing it as a cure you made your way towards the front door, each step feeling heavier than the last.

Your hand slightly trembled as you rang the bell.

For a few seconds, nothing happened before you heard footsteps and the door swung open.

Sora stood there frozen.

His eyes flickered over your face, down your figure, as if making sure you were real. And then he exhaled sharply, but the relief vanished the second his gaze cut past you and landed on Mikey stepping off his bike.

His expression twisted instantly.

"Now what fucking explanation do you have for yourself?" Sora snapped, stepping forward, anger sharpening every word. "And trust me, it better be a good reason, because--"

He jabbed a finger toward you.

"--when I leave the house for days? I at least fucking call you. I leave a message. But you--?!"

Tears burned at the back of your eyes. Before you could talk yourself out of it, you stepped forward and wrapped your arms around him.

He jerked in surprise. "Hey--wha--?"

But you were already crying.

After everything that had happened this past week, you couldn't bear the idea of losing him too. His anger was justified. He was your older brother. If something had really happened to you... he would've been left helpless and alone. And that realization hurt more than his words ever could.

"I'm sorry," you sobbed into his chest, your voice cracking. "I'm so sorry, Sora. I didn't mean to make you worry. I didn't mean for any of this to happen, everything just... happened all at once."

You pulled back a moment later, wiping your face quickly.

"And I didn't have my phone on me--"

"For a week?!" he cut in, eyes widening in disbelief. "You didn't have your phone for a week? What were you so caught up in, huh?! I was losing my mind! You weren't answering my calls, my messages, nothing! And Baji wasn't either!"

Sora's gaze flickered past you, landing on Mikey. His expression twisted with disbelief and a hint of hurt.

"And... I don't even have your boyfriend's number to confirm if you're even alive! What in the world were you doing with him for the past week?!" he exclaimed, voice tight with worry and anger.
