started as a lie

a few hours later the nurses came in.

"sophia it's time for your surgery" they said.

i looked down and saw leah still asleep. she looks so peaceful. i really don't want to wake her but i don't think i have a choice.

"leah, you have to get up. it's time for my surgery" i said while shaking her gently.

she sat up and rubbed her eyes.

she carefully climbed out of the bed and we and sat next to ollie.

"we'll be right here once your done" ollie said.

"thanks ol" i said with a smile.

the nurses wheeled my bed out of the room and into the surgery room.

they did stitches in me and then took me back to my room.

"how did it go?" leah asked.

"it was very painful" i said.

"awh well teddy can make you feel better" she said and gave me teddy.

i put him in the bed next to me.

i've been very restricted. i haven't been able to move because it causes me lots of pain.

the nurses left.

"are you hungry? do you want anything to eat?" ollie asked.

"hmm a sandwich, packet of crisp and a water" i said.

"alright master" he rolled his eyes.

"anything leah?" he asked. she shook her head.

"leah you need to eat, you'll starve" i said.

"i'm not hungry, i'll go get food later or something" she said.

"okay i'll be back in 15" ollie said and left.

"leah come here" i said. she came over to me and waited for me to speak.

"i'm warm, can you help take my jumper off" i asked.

"erm, i don't want to hurt you. should i call a nurse" she asked.

"no don't be silly" i laughed.

"what about these" she pointed at the tubes connected to my hands and arms.

"i can take these out" i said and pulled everything out.

she helped me sit up and pulled the jumper over my head.

"oh" she said and turned around. i wasn't wearing anything underneath so she probably wasn't expecting that.

"leah your allowed to look, it's not like you haven't seen any of this before" i laughed.

"oh i um. i didn't know, i just wanted to be respectful, you know" she stuttered and turned back to face me.

she kept her eyes at my face but i could tell she was struggling not to look down.

"my tshirt is in that bag" i said and pointed to one of the bags on a chair.

she went quickly and grabbed it for me. she helped me put it on and then sat back down.

"thank you le" i said.

"yeah it's okay" she said.

i clipped all the tubes back into my hands and arms.

she moved her hand towards mine and held it. she stroked over my fingers and kissed my hand a few times.

"i've really missed you" i said.
