today some of the girls have decided to do a little get together at the club and then at beth's house after.

i got myself dressed and ready while lily packed for her sleepover at katie's house. katie is coming too but lily is staying with lauryn. they promised that they wouldn't burn the house down and after much convincing, we said yes.

i came downstairs and saw leah sat on the sofa on her phone.

"hey sexy" i said, wrapping my arms around her shoulders.

"hey my beautiful girl" she said.

"how long does it take to pack one overnight bag" leah said. "we're going to be late"

"we wont" i laughed. leah is always stressing about being places on time.

"do you want to go check on her?" i asked. leah nodded and went upstairs and i sat down and waited.

lilys pov

there were a lot of thoughts flying around my head. i'm going to be alone with lauryn. i'm sleeping over at her house. what if she tries to have sex with me. am i ready? i don't want to disappoint her.

the door opens and i'm snapped out of my thoughts.

"you okay kiddo" leah asked while standing in the doorway. i nodded nervously.

"leah can i ask you a question?" i said.

"yeah sure" she said and sat on my bed.

i closed the door and sat on the other end of the bed. i fidgeted with the bracelet on my wrist.

"sweetheart if you want to stay home you can if that's what's bothering you. and if it's not then you can ask, i won't judge" she said.

"no it's not that. i uhm. i was just wondering... when did you know you was ready to have sex" i asked.

"oh" she said awkwardly.

"umm, i err- uhm" she stuttered.

"nevermind forget i asked" i said embarrassed that i had even asked.

"i'm sorry love, it's just a bit weird for me to talk about this especially since your still young" she said. "i guess i'm going to have 'the talk' with you"

"so i uh i guess the first time i had sex was when i was 17" she said.

"do you think it's too early for me and lauryn?" i asked.

"it doesn't matter what i think. kids will always go against what their told anyway. it's not up to me though. it's your body, you will know when your ready so if you feel ready then go for it" she said.

"but how will i know if i'm ready?" i asked.

"well you will feel it in the moment. if it feels right then you'll be ready. but if it isn't, don't ever feel pressured into doing it if you aren't ready. lauryn is a lovely girl and im sure she wouldn't want you to have sex if you aren't ready" she told me.

"yeah she said that" i said.

"what when?" she said in shock.

"on my birthday. we came upstairs. we almost did but i stopped it. i didn't know if i was ready. she said she wants it to come when we both want it as bad as each other" i said.

"well that's a good way of putting it. see you've got a good one there" she said. "i trust you. and i trust lauryn."

"thanks leah. i know that if i spoke to sophia she probably would have given me this big lecture about staying safe and stuff" i laughed.

"it's fine, if you ever need to speak i'm here. soph probably would've given you a lecture but you can always speak to her too. she just want you to be safe" leah said. "also, please be safe. only do what you think your body can take. if at anypoint you're uncomfortable or you don't like something please tell lauryn because we don't want you to get hurt or feel like something is wrong with you if you don't like whats happening. everyone likes different things so if you don't like something, then you just have to find what you do like. don't be embarrassed to speak up"

"i really appreciate you leah" i said and hugged her. "thank you"

"alright now come on" she said. i picked up my bag and followed her out of the room and downstairs.

"you two took your time" sophia said.

"we were just having a chat" leah said.

we went and got in the car and drove lily to katie's house.

lauryn's pov

i went into katie's room while she was getting ready.

"katie, can we talk" i asked.

"yeah what's up" she said.

"i was just wondering if it's too soon to have sex" i asked.

"that's not for me to say. i cant decide that for you, only lily and you will know. if your both ready then it's not too soon." she said.

"is it a bad sign if i tried to have sex with her but she didn't want to" i asked nervously. i really like lily. i don't want things to go wrong.

"definitely not. if she isn't ready then don't push. give her some time and wait until the right moment" she said. "she knows her own body and you need to respect that. if she doesn't think she's ready then she isn't"

"yeah i know" i nodded. "but how will i know if it's the right moment"

"i can't explain it but you just will" she said.
"also, always ask for consent before touching her. even if she says yes, watch out for her body language. she might not actually want it but she just wants you to be happy. keep checking that everything is okay with her. communication is absolutely key in moments like that"

"last thing, if she doesnt like something, stop straight away. same goes for the other way around. if you don't like something, tell her and make a change." she said.

"thanks katie" i said. her phone buzzed and she looked at it.

"the girls are here. i've got to go now so be safe. if you need anything, don't ring me i'll be too drunk to answer" she joked.

"always mrs reliable" i laughed as we went downstairs.

i opened the door and lily was stood there. she stepped inside and i put one arm around her waist.

"hi cutie" i whispered in her ear before planting a quick kiss on her lips.

katie walked out towards leah's car.

"make sure you lock the door" she said.

"i'm not stupid" i joked.

i waved at leah and sophia who waved back. as they drove away, i locked the door and we went to the living room.
