today me and leah have a surprise for mia. we've been going through the long process of trying to get her adoption done and it's finally done.

we decided to take her out to her favourite restaurant and surprise her.

"baby you ready?" i called from the stairs.
"yeah coming" she called back.

leah and lily were already in the car.

mia ran down the stairs and we went to the car. leah drove us there and we went in and sat at our table.

we looked through the menu and decided on our meals. the waitress came over and took our order before taking the menus and walking away.

"so how are you finding your new school" lily asked.

"it's good. i made some new friends" mia said. "how's college"

"yeah it's going alright. i'm enjoying it. and i'm glad lauryns here with me too" she said.

"i like lauryn. she's super nice" mia said.

"yeah? she likes you too. she says you have pretty eyes" lily said.

"i'm glad she's your girlfriend." mia said.
"me too" lily said.

after a while of chatting, the food arrived. we ate it and then i looked over at leah.

"so darling, we have a surprise for you" leah said.

i pulled out an envelope and handed it to her. it was her adoption papers.

"really?" she asked with tears in her eyes.
"yes hun" i nodded.

she got up and came round the table to hug us.

"thank you so much" she said.

"we love you baby" leah said.
"i love you too" she said.

she went and hugged lily.

"i think we should get dessert as celebration" i said.
all the girls cheered, including leah.

"le, your literally a big kid" i laughed.

"what? it adds to the effect" she joked.

we got the dessert menus and the waitress came to take our empty plates.

lily and mia ordered a massive ice cream sundae. definitely way too much for them to finish though they managed to convince me and leah that they could.

i gasped when they brought it out.

me and leah ordered a waffle with strawberries and nutella.

"you girls definitely can't finish that" leah said.

"we can, promise" mia said.

"if you can finish that, we'll give you a tenner each" i said. i'm completely confident that they will give up.

"deal" lily said.

they started to scoop the ice cream and eat it while me and leah ate our waffle.

me and leah sat there and watched as they struggled.

"you doing alright there" leah laughed.
"we're fine" lily said.

we laughed as they continued with battle.

"i cant anymore. i'm going to be sick" mia said, tapping out.

"traitor" lily said and continued. we all watched in amusement as she scooped it up.

"shit i cant" she said.

"language" leah scolded.

"sorry" lily said. "yous can have the rest"
