when we got home, leah helped me out the car and onto the sofa.

she gave me some more pain meds and i started to relax a bit.
my phone rang and i picked it up.

"hi lily baby" i smiled.

"hi soph, how are you" she asked. she looked very concerned.

"all good darling, don't worry about me" i said.

"i am worried about you. i saw what happened on tv. is everything okay what's going on" she said.

"i'm going to the hospital tomorrow before we come and get you from the airport" i said.

"hopefully it's nothing too bad" she said.

"in all honesty i think it's broken" i said. "when i went down i heard a snap. i don't know if it was in my head but yeah"

i chatted with lily for a while and then she went to eat dinner.

the next day.

leah helped me in the car and drove us to the hospital. we were sat there for a long time.

it's now 1pm. we've been there since 11 and i'm getting fed up.

"can you get me something to eat le" i asked. there was a little shop outside the hospital.

"what if you get called in" she said.

"i'll ring you" i said.
"what do you want" she asked.

"ham sandwich and a pepsi please" i asked.

"okay. be back soon" she said. she kissed my cheek and left.

while i was sat there, a little girl, possibly about 9 who was sat beside me tapped my arm. i looked at her and smiled.

"you girlfriend is very pretty" she whispered.

"i know" i whispered back. her mum was speaking to someone at the reception.

"can you watch him while i go to the toilet" she said pointing at her teddy who was also on a chair. i nodded and she went to the toilet.

she came back and thanked me.
"thank you for watching teddy. he's my favourite" she said.

"your welcome, i have a teddy called teddy too" i said.

"they're twins" she said excitedly.

i was still waiting by the time leah got back.

i ate my sandwich and sipped at my pepsi. she also bought a big bag of skittles.
leah kept her hand at my knee and asked how i was every 5 minutes.

"how's your leg?" she asked.

"for the bajillionth time leah, i'm fine. stop worrying" i said.

"you know what's worrying me. the fact that you aren't even worried at all" she said.

"trust me baby. i'm shitting bricks" i said.

the little girl next to me tapped me again.

"that's a naughty word" she said.

"i'm sorry. if i give you a sweet will you promise not to tell anyone" i said. she pinky promised and i let her have some sweets.

"what happened to your leg?" she asked.

"well i was playing football, and this girl tackled me and kicked my leg very hard" i said.

"oh, that isn't very good. did she get a red card" she asked. i shook my head.
