lilys pov

i sat on the sofa with leah, watching tv. i stroked simba while thinking about lauryn. she still hasn't messaged yet and it's been two hours. the flight was only supposed to be 1 hour and 20 minutes.

about half an hour later, my phone rang. it was lauryn.

"it's lauryn" i said to leah. i got up and went to my bedroom and answered the phone.

"Hey baby girl" lauryn said i answered.

"Hey, u arrived safely?" i asked.

"Yeah, I messaged Katie aswell so she isn't worried" she told me

"Good, how does it feel too be home" i asked.

"Nice, but I miss holding you" she said with a slight pout.

"I miss you holding me too" i said sadly.

"The other night was brilliant" lauryn said with a smile.

"It really was, can't wait for the next time" i nodded.

"Soon, baby, soon, the holiday break is
soon" she said.

"Yeah, we can plan it all soon" i nodded.

"I'm going too tell my parents and my sister Ella once I've finished speaking too you" she smiled but i could tell she was nervous.

"Okay, let me know how it goes" i said with a comforting smile.

"I will baby girl, love you, speak soon" she said

"Speak soon baby girl" i said and she ended the call.

i stayed in my room and waited for her to call me back. she was about 10 minutes and then she rang me again.

"hey baby" she said with a smile.

"hey baby girl how did it go" i asked. judging by the smile on her face it went well.

"it went really well actually" she said. "they want to meet you"

"ooh i cant wait." i said. "but i'm also kinda nervous. is all your family as scary as katie"

"no katie's a wild one. everyone else is only a fraction of what katie is" she laughed.

we spoke for a while and then lauryn got called downstairs.

"i've got to go baby girl but i'll speak to you before bed" she said.

"alright baby. speak later" i said as we ended the call.

i went downstairs and saw leah and sophia cuddled on the sofa together.

"you okay love?" sophia asked. i nodded and went and sat with them.

"do you want to go on a walk. we can talk and get your mind off things?" sophia asked. "simba needs walking anyway"

"yeah ok" i said. i went and put on my coat and shoes. sophia got up and came with me.

sophia's pov

i put simba on a lead and we left. i walked us to the park that simba loves.

"darling tell me how your feeling" i asked. i feel like she's holding back from telling me things.

"um, im upset and nervous and scared and angry" she said.

"can we talk about it?" i asked softly. "i know you think im going to lecture you or something but i promise im not. i just want to help you"

"okay. i guess im really upset that lauryn has gone. im nervous what that means for us. i really really like her and i don't want things to change. i don't want us to drift apart and become like strangers. and im also angry at myself for feeling so much" she said.
