Linda's's POV
"Congratulations Brandon." Daniel said. I internally rolled my eyes. I kept a smile on my face. Which was really hard.
"Well well well well." We all turned around to see the source of the clapping.
"Ella?" Ava and Brandon said simultaneously.
Who the hell is Ella?
I turned to look at Daniel who just smirked mischievously. He knew about this?
I slapped his shoulder to get his attention. "What's going on?" I whispered at him. Daniel shrugged his shoulders. This jerk!
"Hey Brandon. Ava." The Ella or whatever her name is greeted.
"What are you doing here?" Ava asked with anger. Oh my...
"I wanted to find out why was I not invited to my sister's baby shower."
Ella is Ava's sister? Ava married her sister's ex? Ha!
"Ella. We don't want you here. We want to enjoy this baby shower without you!" Ava yelled.
"Did you tell Brandon here what were you doing in that hospital?" Ella smirked.
Ava's eyes widened. This can't be good.
"I went to take a pregnancy test."
"Really now? Then what where you doing with abortion pills?" Ella asked sarcastically. Wait isn't she pregnant? I'm so confused.
"I.. I was... I don't know what you're talking about. I went there to take a pregnancy test." The chickens have finally come to roost.
"So you're two months pregnant?" Wait. Two months? They married each other a month ago. Brandon was cheating on me!
I felt betrayed. How could he?
"How did you know that?" Ava asked freaked out.
"How are you two months pregnant?" Brandon asked clearly frustrated.
"Brandon. I can explain."
"I'm waiting." Brandon stated coldly. Daniel pulled me close to him. I can't believe this!
"I..it... It was a mistake Brandon. I didn't know I would get pregnant! I was on a pill!"
"Who was it?" Brandon asked calmly and it somehow scared me.
"It was Kevin."
"He's the father of this baby?" Ava nodded ashamed.
"You knew about this?" I whispered to Daniel.
"Only the part where Ella is coming not the pregnancy part." He whispered back. His warm breath fanning my neck.
Come on Linda focus.
"What are you thinking about?" Daniel smirked.
"Nothing. I'm just trying to wrap my head around all of this."
"Okay." He still had a smirk on his face.
"How could you Ava?" Oh. I nearly forgot about that.
My phone vibrated and the caller id showed that it was dad. What does he want?
I excused myself to go outside and answer my phone.
"Hello?"
"Linda I need your help. It's your mom."
"What about her?" I asked panicking and thinking of the worst.
"Come to her house. And hurry!" Dad yelled. Oh no.
What if mom's in danger? What if something bad happened to her?
"LA? Are you okay?"
"It was dad. He says I need to go to mom's house. I think something bad happened to her Daniel." I panicked.
"Okay. Breathe." I followed his instructions.
"Okay. Get in the car. We'll drive there okay?" He said and I nodded.

We arrived at mom's house and I couldn't get out of the car fast enough. I hurried to the door and luckily it was unlocked.
"Mom?"
Suddenly Daniel was behind me and he switched on the lights.
"SURPRISE!!!"
I nearly jumped out of my skin.
"What's going on here?" I asked trying to get my speeding heart and breathing to normal.
"Happy birthday sweetie." What? It's my birthday? I forgot my birthday? I mean who does that?
As if Daniel can hear my thoughts he hugged me from behind.
"You forgot about your birthday didn't you?" He chuckled making me laugh at my miserable brain. Seriously?
"Dad. You scared me. I thought something happened to mom."
"I'm sorry but it was the only way you could've come here. I'm sorry Linda." I smiled seeing that everyone I previously worked with was here. Everyone except my best friend.
I wish Casey was here. I miss her so much.
"I miss her too but if she was here she would say, "forget everyone. It's all about you." " Daniel said making me realize that I've said that aloud. Dad had a guilty look on his face.
Melissa's twins were here and I had no beef with them. They are my brothers after all.
"It's okay dad. I forgive you. I forgive all of you and I hope you'll all forgive me. Now Let's drink!" I raised my glass and everyone cheered.
