"Hey." Brandon replied calmly.
"Brandon... I..I need you to come over!" I screamed on the phone. I closed my eyes again and opened them. Still dark. I can't see! "Linda are you okay?" Brandon asked."Brandon I can't see!!" I screamed and I tripped over. Luckily I fell on the bed. "What do you mean? You know what I'm coming over just...." I accidentally hung up the call. Before I could redial it my phone slipped out of my hands.
After a couple of minutes I heard a knock on the door. "Who is it?" I yelled. When I heard it was Brandon I told him to come in. "Where are you?"
"I'm in the bedroom!" I yelled so he could hear.
"Hey." Brandon said and I stretched out my arms to touch him. He gave me a hug. "What happened?" He asked stroking my hair gently.
"I woke up not seeing a thing Brandon!" I panicked.
"Okay let's take you to the doctor. Did you call your mom?" He asked and I shook my head no."I don't want her to be worried." I said sniffing. I'm sure I'm ugly. I'm not used to crying, especially next to a boy. "Okay." He held my hand and directed me to his car.
We got to the hospital in a matter of minutes. "Can I please get some help over here!" Brandon screamed. I tried to stay calm. This isn't the first time happening. But this usually lasted for 5 minutes.
After some time the nurse came and told us to wait for the doctor inside the consultation room. About 15 minutes later the doctor came. "Morning, I'm doctor Louis. I need to take your blood so we can run few tests." Drawing blood from a person means needles. I am scared of needles. I'm kind of grateful I'm not seeing the needle because I would panic if I saw it.
Unexpectedly, the doctor drew my blood and I hissed."So we'll wait for the test results, but for now I can give you some antibiotics."
"How long will they take?"
"About two days." What if I'll be blind forever? And with that question, I started crying. "It's okay. You'll be fine. " Brandon said soothing me.
"Thank you Doctor." I finally had the courage to speak.
"Oh and please limit the time you spend on your TV or laptop." The doctor said and I nearly bursted into tears. This is all dad's fault.Brandon called his parents to let them know why he wasn't coming to work. I let him tell them the truth. They sounded really pitiful on the phone. Which is something I hate. Pity.
"I ordered us some food."
"I'm not hungry."
"You need to eat so that you can drink your medication."
"Okay." I finally gave in.After the brunch Brandon sat me down on the couch. He switched on the TV but reduced it's brightness. "Seriously? Twilight? I hate this movie!" Brandon scoffed.
"Well I love it and you are going to watch it for me."
"You want me to watch Twilight? That's not happening."
"It's okay. Please increase the volume since I only have my ears to rely on." I faked my sadness. I could hear Brandon cursing under his breath."Mhmm. Fine! I'll be your eyes." I smiled when he finally gave up.
"What's happening now?" I asked and Brandon sighed before he answered me.
"That wolf boy is kissing the Bella girl."
"You mean Jacob?"
"Whatever his name is."
"Don't say that. He's my crush." I jokingly said. I won't lie I like Jacob Black okay.
"What's there to like about him?"
"He's strong, loving and handsome."
"Pfff. Whatever." I could imagine Brandon rolling his eyes. I wish I could see him.My phone rang....
"Who is it?" I asked Brandon.
"It's your mom." Oh-ohBrandon answered the call for me.
"Hey mom."
"So I have to hear from people that my own daughter is blind?"
"Ho..how do you know? I mean.. I didn't want you to worry mom.""Linda! That's my job as a parent. To worry about my only daughter."
"I'm sorry."
"I didn't want to add more stress but your father cancelled your medical aid."What!
