Brandon's POV

"Get off me!" I yelled at Ava.

"Come on. You know how we...." Ava was interrupted by the door opening.

Damn it!

I got Ava off me. She said I should explain what was going on but the words got caught up in my throat.

She ran away and I followed her. Linda wanted me to leave me and I don't blame her.

My heart broke into millions of pieces. She just lost her best friend and now this? I have to fix this... I need to fix this.

I went back to the house to find Ava dressed up.

"Well. It was about time!" Ava said.

I grabbed Ava by her throat causing her to panic.

"Do you know what you've done!?"

"It doesn't matter Brandon. Plus you cannot hurt me." She smiled cheekily.

"Can't I?" I asked tightening my grip on her throat.

"You can't hurt your future wife Brandon." I removed my hand on her throat shocked by what she's saying.

"What do you mean?"

"Your parents love me. They see me as their future daughter-in-law. Plus they already see me as their daughter." She laughed.

Why is she finding this funny?

"That would never happen. Over my dead body." I screamed pushing her out of my house.

"That can be arranged sweetie." She said blowing a kiss. Ava disgusts me.

There is no way that could be true.

Can it?

Linda's POV

"Tomorrow is Casey's memorial service."

"I missed her so much mom. I always look at my messages expecting a text from her saying 'I was messing with you. Bitch I'm still alive.'  It's frustrating." I said tearing up.

"I still can't believe she's gone." Mom sighed.

"I wanted comfort from Brandon but what did I get in return? A cheating maniac." I shouted.

"Brandon cheated on you?" I nodded at the question. I Kno what I saw. But Brandon was fully clothed.

What if I didn't arrive at that time? What if I arrived few hours later? Would he even tell me?

"Did you let him explain?" Mom asked and I shook my head no.

"I don't want to talk about him. I want to talk to Gorilla."

"And say what Linda?"

"He can't get away with what he did mom. He has to pay." I said sipping on my cup of coffee.

"I don't think that's a good idea. Concentrate on Casey's funeral. You'll deal with the rest later."

Well she's right.

.................

"Linda, come on Daniel is waiting for you!" Mom screamed.

I'm not going.

"Linda what are you.... You're still in bed!?" Mom yelled.

"I'm not going mom. I can't... I just can't go." I sobbed.

"Oh honey." Mom gave me a hug.

"You have to. You need to okay? She's your best friend. Go pay your last respect. You'll find closure." Mom said.

"Okay."

....................

"Casey was the craziest person I've ever known my while life." Daniel said causing us to laugh.

"I'm gonna miss you sis. I already do miss you." When Daniel said that I felt a tear rolling down my cheek.

Seeing Casey's mother cry on stage broke me. Daniel came next to me.

"You wanna say something?" He asked and I shook my head. I don't want to have a breakdown in front of everyone.

Family members started to pay their last respect to Casey. I looked at her picture next to her casket.

"Rest in peace Casey." My phone then buzzed. It was from an unknown number.

'I missed once. I'll make sure I don't miss again.'

My eyes widened.
"LA, are you okay?"

"No. Someone sent me this." I showed him the message.

"I think I should tell the cops." I said panicking.

"No. We'll have to find out ourselves. This means that you were the target. And this...  Was no accident." He said making me all nervous.

Who would want to kill me? And why?

I nearly cried. We bid goodbye to Casey.😭😭😭
