Linda's POV
I got into my apartment in a rush closing my windows and curtains.
"Linda? What's going on?" Mom asked curiously. I ignored her continuing to lock the doors.
"Linda!"
"Mom! Mom. You have to listen to me. Dad is a very dangerous man." I panicked.
"What are you talking about?"
"Mom. He..he..he killed someone." I stuttered. Mom's eyes widened and her mouth was wide open.
"He did what?" She whispered her question.
"Did he see you?" I shook my head rapidly.
"Good. You'll pretend like you've seen nothing okay?" Mom said holding my shoulders.
"H..how?"
"You're going to your new house okay?" She said and I nodded.
"And then you're going to start afresh. Far away from here okay?"
"Mom I just..." Mom cut me off by hugging me. I started crying.
"Come on. Let's start packing before he figures out you witnessed him murder someone." Mom took me to my bedroom to pack my stuff.
........................"I'm gonna miss this place." I said looking at my apartment one last time.
"Linda come on." Mom yelled.
I drove to my new house.
"Wow. You gonna live here now?" Mom was so surprised by the neighborhood where I'll be staying."Wait until you see the house." I said smiling.
We arrived at my house.
"Now this is how you live life." Mom said running out of the car.Seriously? I forgot about the whole dad issue. I'll ask her later.
Mom opened the front door which was bigger than her. The whole house was painted with grey, white and red paint. It was gorgeous.
The interior of the house was homey with a touch of brown and orange. The kitchen was huge.
The lounge had a big tv screen.
"Guess what?" I whispered in my mom's ear.
"What?" She eyed at me curiously.
"There's a movie theater."
"No. What!" She yelled causing me to laugh.
My mom went crazy when she saw the bathrooms.
Five bathrooms in total. 10 bedrooms.
"This is beautiful." Mom said.
I sighed preparing myself for the question I'm about to ask her.
"Mom?"
"Yes baby."
I cleared my throat.
"Did dad have a brother?" I asked and I saw my mom's eyes widen. She blinked several times before she opened her mouth to speak but closed it again.
"Mom? Mom." I snapped my fingers in front of her face.
"Look honey. I gotta go."
"Mom. Answer me. Mom!" I yelled after her.
"Don't worry I'll take a cab!" She yelled. Are you kidding me.
Mom just... Seriously?
I got inside the house. Brandon texted me requesting a lunch meet up. I sent him a text to come to my new house. I sent him the location.
I can host a little housewarming party.
I video called Casey.
"Hey girl!" Casey greeted.
"Hey. Look, I bought a new house so..." Casey interrupted me.
"Wait. That's your new house? It's pretty!!" She screamed with excitement.
I laughed.
"Yes. So I'm hosting a little housewarming party. It's something small."
"Of course I'll come. I can come with Daniel right?" She wiggle her eyebrows playfully. I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah and Brandon will also be here."
"Alright. When is the party?"
"On Friday." I said laughing.
"Oh I have two days to get my dress." Casey is so crazy.
"Alright I'll see ya." I said blowing a kiss.
"Bye!!"
I hung up the call. It feels so lonely. I'll get used to it.
Maybe I should do some shopping.
With that idea in my mind I got into my car and drove to the shops.
Wow! What a beautiful car. Buy it.
I smirked to myself.
Looks like I'll be going home with a red G-Wagon!
..........................I went to Casey's apartment to show her my new car.
The moment my new car stopped at Casey's front porch I saw Daniel come out of the house with a baseball bat.
He wore a track suit. He swayed the bat to his shoulders. Now that's hot.
Daniel got close to my car. I got out before he could smash my car.
"Heyyy." I screamed getting out of the car.
"LA?" He dropped his baseball bat with his mouth wide open.
