Innum yevlo neram ullai'ye iruka porae?

Siddharth asked, glancing behind at Neha as he examined the brace they had given him on his shoulder. It appeared that he had indeed sprained his shoulder quite badly, and the doctor had advised him to rest. However, since they had returned to their room, Neha had taken on a "mummy" role, curling up under the large comforter.

She felt embarrassed by her own behavior. She worried that Siddharth might no longer believe in her abilities as a doctor. After all, if a simple shoulder sprain had caused her to panic and cry, who would trust her medical degree? Joseph better not know this or he might be very disappointed for all the money he spent for that degree.

As soon as they returned to their room, Neha had entered the washroom, taken a bath, and then, before Siddharth could spot her, she had immediately crawled under the covers. She felt a mix of emotions and didn't want Siddharth to see her like this.

Neha, nee innum saapadha kuda ill-

Na already sapten

Neha's muffled voice came from beneath the covers, causing Siddharth to furrow his brow in concern. However, when he glanced at the food trolley, he realized that she had indeed eaten her dinner.

Idhu yeppo?

Nee kulichitu irukumbodhu

Siddharth hadn't anticipated just how entertaining Neha would turn out to be after their marriage. She had completely defied his initial expectations of her. Chuckling at her playful antics, he made his way to the bed and sat at the foot of it. As he enjoyed his sandwich, he kept glancing in Neha's direction, attempting to tease and cajole her out of her self-imposed cocoon. However, Neha appeared resolute in her determination to stay hidden under the covers. She was going to spend the entire time in Paris "undercover".

Ah!

Aiyoyo, yennachu?!

Caught off guard, Neha found herself sitting up straight, only to discover that one of Siddharth's eyes was slyly watching her, a hint of mischief twinkling within. She soon realized that he was teasing her, and her lips twisted into an annoyed pout. She tried to curl back under the covers to hide her reaction, but Siddharth was quick to catch her.

He gently clasped her wrist to keep her from retreating and playfully asked as he stretched her glass of warm milk without looking,

Konja neram company kudukalame? Adhuku dhane vandhae?

Siddharth released her hand, and Neha heaved a heavy sigh. She took the glass from him as Siddharth ate in silence.

He noticed her being lost in thoughts and decided to finally ask,

Avlo bayandhutae? Idhuku munnadhi yaarukum adi pattu parthadhu illaya?

Pathuruken

Mumbling softly, Neha rested her head on her knees, absentmindedly tracing patterns on the rim of the glass,

Aprom yen?

Enaku therila

In that moment, Neha couldn't quite fathom what had come over her when she saw Siddharth getting hurt. Her entire world seemed to come to a halt, and it felt as if her very soul had momentarily left her body. Tears welled up in her eyes and began rolling down her cheeks.

Recognizing that Neha was still somewhat perplexed by her emotional reaction, Siddharth decided to reassure her,

Enaku valika kudha illa.

Enaku valichadhu

Siddharth snapped his head towards Neha, she continued to not realize how her words stirred unspoken emotions in Siddharth as she spoke,

Adhan bayandhuten

Siddharth smiled warmly but didn't say anything. He completed his dinner in silence and when he left, he took Neha's empty glass with him. When he returned to their bed after washing up, he found Neha cocooned in the covers once more, a testament to her quirky habits.

He playfully rolled his eyes at her tendency, gently tugging down the comforter to reveal her face. Neha, appearing all innocent, looked up at Siddharth from beneath the soft layers of fabric.

Neenga doctor amma dhan, na onnu solala.

Neha, slightly embarrassed by her earlier behavior, mentally facepalmed herself as she realized she needed to help Siddharth arrange the bed correctly according to the doctor's instructions. She quickly got out of bed to assist him in positioning the pillows around him for support.

The bolster was placed beneath Siddharth's leg, while the extra pillows were arranged on his other side to prevent him from accidentally rolling onto his already injured hand and worsening the sprain.

After finishing their makeshift bed preparations, Neha realized that they now had nothing to keep between them as they usually did. Glancing at Siddharth, she saw that he was already asleep. It was fast, but she noticed that he must be tired.

She briefly considered calling room service but decided against it, thinking she would come up with a solution the next day. She turned off the lights and went to sleep.

As Neha's breathing steadied and she fell into a peaceful slumber, Siddharth opened his eyes. He made sure she was sound asleep before he stretched his arms and propped his head up with his right hand, the very hand he had "awfully sprained" for the umpteenth time.

Ptch, idhu onnu kasa kasa'nu

Siddharth chided the brace he had to wear for Neha insisted badly. He gazed fondly at his sleeping wife, his heart full of admiration.

He gently brushed her swollen under eye, knowing that she has had a challenging day, perhaps even more challenging than his own.

Romba bayandhuta..

Siddharth couldn't help but chuckle at how adorable she looked with a slightly red nose. Yet, he reminded himself that he never wanted to see her cry like that again.

Leaning in, he pressed a tender kiss on her eyes and whispered,

Good night
