Scared
>>>>---- ♥️ ----<<<<

Neha found herself lying on the couch, staring at the ceiling and lost in thoughts.

A concerned meow made Neha snap out of her trance. She found kaattupoochi sitting in front of her, by her feet, his head bobbing as he was licking his paw.

Neha smiled at him as she sat up and subconsciously when her palms rested on her abdomen. Her attention went to what she had been thinking about.

Pregnant, child, parent.

Words that all of a sudden felt so foreign to her. How could the contraception have failed to do the only thing that it was supposed to do? Questions rose to her mind.

As if sensing her heightening stress, kaattupoochi found itself to her lap as it nuzzled its head against her lower abdomen. Neha smiled for a second before she understood its behaviour.

Neha gently made the cat look at her as she carried it to face it,

Appo nee en mela pasama illaya?

( So it wasn't me that you were possessive about?)

The feline meowed in distress for its legs were hanging in the air, Neha smooched its head before she carried it to its cathouse and dropped it there.

She stepped into the shower, and as soon as the water hit her, the tears were unstoppable.

How is Siddharth going to take this? She vividly remembered that he said that they'll consider babies when the time came, and this was definitely not it. However, it seems like things were never to happen within their desire.

She is the one who agreed to it, now she is the one who will be giving him the shock.

Above that, is she even ready for such a responsibility? Look at her. She's crying, in fear, under the shower, like a baby.

How is she even going to survive a day, as a mother? She wished she at least had a mother, long enough with her, to have at least learned something.

Neha came out of the shower only when she heard kaattupoochi wailing for her, in hunger. She quickly dressed herself and went to attend to him.

She was beyond glad that she had him in Siddharth's absence. If not, she would have gone crazy.

Neha sat by kaattupoochi, watching him eat, the questions in her mind still running when she heard her phone ring.

Ignoring the fatigue she felt when she stood up, Neha walked to grab her phone and saw that it was none other than Siddharth.

Hello?

Congratulations, doctor amma, neenga ketta madhiriye na yedhayum odhachikulae

( Congratulations, doctor. Just as you asked, I didn't break any bones this time)

Siddharth heard Neha wordlessly chuckle on the other side, and he immediately knew that something was wrong.

Siddharth paused from wearing his watch. He was getting ready to go out for dinner with his team when he decided to givw his busy wife a call. He was grateful for doing so as he properly held his mobile and asked with concern,

Yennachu?

( What happened?)

Onnu illaye, seri nee yeppo varuvae? Saptiya?

( Nothing, when are you coming back? Have you had dinner?)

Press meet'lam mudhichu oru 4 days agum, yen ma? Yedhachum prechana'ya? Na sikkirama varanuma? Na venumna naalik-
