The new normal
>>>>–––– ♥️ ––––<<<<

In the following days of the family's stay, a noticeable shift occurred as Joseph firmly forbade anyone from putting pressure on Neha, especially Grace. With all their help support, Siddharth and Joseph worked together to ensure that the house was arranged in a way that was comfortable and safe for Neha during her pregnancy. Vasundhara and Alice took the time to patiently explain the precautions Neha needed to take, offering her guidance and reassurance throughout the process. With the atmosphere now more supportive and understanding, Neha felt a sense of relief wash over her, grateful for their efforts to prioritize her well-being.

Nanga maasathuku oru thadava varom, yenna?

( We'll make sure to visit you once a month, alright?)

Vasundhara asked Neha who's eye widened, however Vasundhara instantly shook her head,

Naanum unga appa'vum mattum

( Just me and your dad)

Neha smiled sheepishly as she nodded her head.

Vasundhara and Joseph had not settled in Kerala simply to retire; instead, they remained actively engaged in their community. Joseph dedicated himself to assisting his brother in managing the village affairs, contributing his time and efforts to ensure the smooth operation of local initiatives. Meanwhile, Vasundhara found fulfillment in providing home tuition for the neighborhood kids.

Vasundhara gently guided Neha's face to look at her,

En pulla unna nalla dhane pathukuran?

( Is my son taking good of you?)

Neha smiled, her heart feeling warmed and affectioned just by thinking of how well Siddharth takes care of her, however as she turned towards her mother-in-law to answer, she noticed her husband 'casually' walking to the backyard where the ladies were drying clothes, he whistled with his hands folded behind him as he pretended to be oblivious of their conversation. Neha narrowed her eyes at her husband as she answered her mother in law with a smirk.

Paravala, okay

( Not bad, I'd say)

Siddharth stomped his feet to the ground as he glared at his wife, Vasundhara who was unaware of his existence there, determinedly advised to Neha.

Yenna panranu sollu, fan'la thonga potharen avana

( Just tell what he did, I'll hang him on the ceiling fan)

The women squeezed the excess water from the cloth and turned around, only to freeze when she saw her son standing there with a poker face directed at her. Siddharth's expression remained stoic as he stared back at his mother, who chuckled awkwardly in response. Neha couldn't help but chortle at the sight of the two of them. With a playful grin, she quickly ran away from the scene,

Eyh, paathu!

( Hey, be careful!)

Siddharth said as he chuckled at his wife. When Neha reached the hall she stopped. Neha's heart swelled with gratitude as she took in the thoughtful arrangement of the house, noticing the absence of sharp objects or furniture that could pose a risk to her during pregnancy. She couldn't help but smile warmly at Joseph and Siddharth's considerate gestures, feeling touched by their efforts to ensure her safety and comfort.

Achoo!

Neha snapped her head towards Joseph's sneeze and immediately noticed him carrying Kattupoochi towards her. Reacting swiftly, she rushed over to him and scooped the cat from his arms, ensuring there was a safe distance between her father and the feline. Neha was well aware of her father's severe allergy to cats, and she took every precaution to prevent any discomfort or reaction,
