Neha's expression, previously filled with curiosity, shifted abruptly to a blank slate upon hearing Siddharth's suggestion. She locked eyes with him, and a heavy sigh escaped his lips,

Nethu room'la idha pathen and I'm guessing that you're considering to go. But if naano, illa namba family'ya pathi unaku kavalaya irundha, don't be. Adhellam na pathukuren, nee un-

Yenna pathupae?

Suddenly, Neha interrupted Siddharth. Siddharth understood the reason behind Neha casting doubt on his ability to care for their parents and he couldn't even entirely blame her. A bittersweet smile played on his lips in response.

Enaku purithu, ana na avlo'lam inconsiderate illa Neha. Na.. Na namba veetla irukuravangala ennala mudhinja alavuku nalla dhan pathukuven

Neha remained stoic, her gaze fixed on Siddharth. Deep down, an inkling told her that there was more to his suggestion than the reasons he initially provided. Sensing her suspicion, Siddharth, unable to conceal it any longer, averted his eyes and confessed,

Nee sonna madhiri anga pona, unaku'nu privacy irukum. Nee yarkagavum compromise panna venam, yedhayum mathika vendham, adjust panika vendham, nimadhiya irukalam

Neha's heart shattered into a thousand pieces. The suggestion Siddharth had just made seemed like a stark misinterpretation of her inner turmoil. Did he truly believe that the essence of their recent discord revolved around the quest for privacy? It felt like a cruel joke, as if her genuine struggles were reduced to a superficial desire for personal space. The very notion cut through her, leaving an ache that intensified with each passing moment.

In her eyes, this wasn't just about privacy. It was about understanding, about bridging the emotional gaps that had emerged between them. The realization that Siddharth might perceive her fight as a quest for solitude, and his willingness to offer it as a solution, cast a shadow over their connection. Perhaps it wasn't about her leaving; maybe it was about him wanting her to distance herself.

Neha's fingers traced the edges of the letter, a tangible manifestation of a dream she once cradled close to her heart. The irony lay in the fact that the opportunity to step into the world she once yearned for had now become a source of apprehension and discord. The university, once a beacon of aspirations, now cast a shadow on her path, veiled in complexities she hadn't anticipated.

Glancing up at Siddharth, she held the letter delicately, as if the weight of her decision rested upon it. Her gaze, a silent plea for understanding, sought answers in his eyes,

Nejamave bathrama pathupiya?

The passing weeks unfolded like a rapid succession of fleeting moments for Neha. In the midst of her preparations, she decided to keep her resignation and enrollment a confidential matter, sharing it only with Regina, who was entrusted with the secret for the time being. Neha remained composed at home, efficiently managing the arrangements for her impending absence. Her days at the hospital were filled with extra shifts, a conscious effort to create lasting memories in the familiar halls she had traversed for years.

Vasundhara and Joseph, on the other hand, wore smiles of contentment for Neha. Vasundhara found solace in the fact that her daughter-in-law and son were finally engaging in conversations. Joseph, despite the joy of witnessing Neha's dream coming true, harbored a silent worry about her journey ahead. It would be the first time she would be on her own, and the protective father in him couldn't help but feel a pang of concern. However, Vasundhara assured him that Siddharth would catch up with Neha soon, or she would make sure he did, and that they will be free to embark on delightful trips to Kerala. Joseph couldn't help but find comfort in his friend's reassuring words. He had no other choices.

Siddharth, demonstrating an unexpected side of care, dedicated his time to shopping for Neha's needs. Despite her initial resistance, he persuaded her that he would arrange everything for her stay, ensuring that she experienced the utmost comfort. Neha, reluctantly giving in, allowed Siddharth to take charge of the preparations. She couldn't believe how much he wanted to get rid of her and Siddharth was glad that she was letting him do this for her.

It was two days before Neha's flight and her last day at work, she returned home on late night with a grand bouquet of roses from her dean. However, her joy faded when she set eyes on Siddharth. A noticeable change in her expression revealed a growing tension between them. Siddharth, initially attributing it to the significant decision he had made, began to suspect that Neha's avoidance might be more personal. As she ascended the stairs without making eye contact, Siddharth followed,

Neha yenga da?

Vasundhara came hearing foot steps from her room to see if there's anything she can help Neha with packing, Siddharth answered,

Kulika poita ma

Owh, luggage yellam yedhuthu vechacha?

As Siddharth gestured towards the neatly arranged row of luggage on the side of the room, Vasundhara seemed content with the preparations. While they stood together near the doorway, Siddharth's mind drifted into profound thoughts about Neha. In the midst of his contemplation, Vasundhara uttered words that snapped him back to the present.

Nalla vela, Joseph andha letter'ah yerpadhu pannadhala, Neha vala avaluku pudhicha madhiri padhika poga mudinjadhu. Idhellam yethana per'ku kedaikum sollu?

Siddharth abruptly turned his head toward Vasundhara, blinking rapidly as if to refocus his attention. The sound of the bathroom doorknob being twisted prompted him to swiftly pull his mother into her room. Once inside, he closed the door and inquired,

Thirupi sollu?

Vasundhara frowned but did as he said,

Joseph yedho andha letter ah kondhu vandhu naala dhan Neha'vala ava aasai patha madhiri padhika poga mudhiyudhula? Adha dhan sonnen.

Uncle ah?

Ama, Joseph oda friend'uh yaaro dhan andha college'la periya lecturer'am avanga kitterndhu andha letter'ah vanga dhan aniki Joseph andha trip'uh ke ponnaram. Enake adhuku aprom dhan theriyum paren

Vasundhara giggled but Siddharth was even more confused now, he shook his head and asked yet again,

Appo andha letter uncle arrange pannadha? Neha arrange pannadhu illaya?

Vasundhara's face shrunk,

Neha'va? Nanga adha kaathumbodhu ava yepdhi kondhalicha theriyuma? Mudhiyave mudhiyadhu nu solta, nalla vela nee pesi samadhanam panitae.

Ava venamnu sonnala?

Ama, adhu yedho avaluku romba chinna vayasa irukumbodhu yedho aasai irundhucham, ippo illa, inga yenna prechana odhitu iruku, naa poga matten apdhi ipdhi'nu, pogave matten'nu solli andha letter'ah thirupi avanga appa kitta'ye kudhututu poita. Aprom naan dhan avaluku theriyama kondhu poi unga room'la vechiten, thideernu manasu marita?

Siddharth's jaw dropped as he realized what had transpired. Slapping his forehead, a big 'o' formed on his lips, signifying his realization. Vasundhara observed with a frown, and suddenly, she was reminded of something.

Ama idhellam Neha unkita sollirupanulae nenachen, nee yenna en kitta ketutu irukae?

However, Siddharth was in no state to explain to her, he ran out of the room to find Neha asleep and kicked particularly nothing in frustration.

I'm sorry if the time skip was confusing or too fast, but the thing is I don't want to drag that part, as I have more important and interesting content planned after Neha leaves for her studies. this phase was always going to short anyways so I hope its understandable.

And now that Siddharth knows what actually happened, do you think he's going to stop her or let her go?

Ps: there's one more day left before Neha leaves, in which we will explore all their feelings about her leaving with more depth.

And you guys can relax and expect some funny and some emotional outcomes for this
