Vasundhara's face furrowed with concern when she discovered Neha fast asleep in Joseph's room. She approached Neha and gently tapped on her shoulder, a bit anxious as it was already 10 in the morning, and Vasundhara had never seen Neha sleep in for so long.

Neha?

Worry crept into Vasundhara as she touched Neha's cheeks, realizing that she had a fever. Neha's body radiated heat, and she was cocooned in two stuffy blankets. Alarmed, Vasundhara hurriedly went to Siddharth's room, knocking on the door. When Siddharth opened it, he revealed his disheveled and exhausted appearance, further heightening Vasundhara's concern.

Dei yennada achu unga rendhu per'uhkum? Inga nee ipdhi irukae, angae Neha'ku ore jorom'ah iruku?

Neha'ku jorom'ah?

Siddharth's exhausted eyes widened as he hastily went past his mother to reach Neha. Placing his hand on her forehead, he felt the intense heat of her fever. Attempting to wake her proved futile, and Siddharth's gaze shifted to the side table where he noticed the empty blisters of three tablets. A tired sigh escaped him as he ran his fingers wearily through his hair, realizing the severity of Neha's condition.

Ma nee konja neram pathuko, na doctor'ku call panren

Siddharth hurriedly reached for his phone. In a matter of 15 minutes, the doctor he called arrived. Both Vasundhara and Siddharth anxiously waited outside as Neha underwent a checkup. The doctor eventually emerged,

She's having a very high fever, pressure romba high'ah iruku. Na injection potten, thungatum, yelunja odhane saapdha yedhachum kudhunga, aprom tablets kudhunga. Make sure she takes rest, don't let her do anything until her pressure comes down to normal

Ok doctor

Once the doctor left, Vasundhara firmly seized Siddharth's wrist before he could enter Neha's room, demanding an explanation.

Dei yennada nadhandhuchu?

Siddharth, however, silently reached into his pocket and retrieved Nalan's letter, handing it to Vasundhara. As she read through the words, the realization of what might have transpired dawned on her. Vasundhara found Siddharth sitting by Neha's leg, guilt evident in his face. Recognizing that it wasn't her place to pass judgment or comment, Vasundhara simply caressed his hair, prompting Siddharth to look up at his mother.

Adhukunu ipdhi thungama odhamba kedhukuta yellam seri agiruma? Poi kulichitu va, Neha'ku yedachum samaikalam

Siddharth sighed looking back at Neha, he then slowly stood up and moved to his room. Vasundhara made sure Neha was properly covered before she too went downstairs.

Neha opened her eyes but quickly shut them again due to a piercing headache. She hissed in pain as she sat up, holding her head. When she finally managed to look around, she noticed the new set of medicines and the closed curtains and door. Neha couldn't recall doing any of it. As her eyes darted to the wall clock, they widened in shock.

In a sudden realization, she pushed down her duvet and hastily got up. Right on cue, the room door swung open.

Happada, yelunchitiya? Innum saapdha kudha illa'yenu ippo dhan vandhen unna yelupae
