Dragon Chicken
>>>>---- ♥️ ----<<<<Remember chicken nalla veganum, aprom-
( Remember the chicken must be cooked well, and-)
As Nirmala listed the recipe for Dragon Chicken, Neha had her mobile on speaker, carefully feeding Karthik, who seemed more interested in the food than the conversation. Meanwhile, Keerthi was diligently jotting down Nirmala's recipe on her phone, her fingers tapping away. Keerthi sighed wearily, feeling the weight of multitasking as she tried to keep up with Nirmala's fast-paced instructions.
Idhellam google'laye irukume di?
( Can't we just find this on google?)
Keerthi exhaustedly asked Neha a question, her tone revealing just how worn out she was. Neha, meanwhile, calmly passed the water to Karthik, who was engrossed in a cartoon on the television. Without missing a beat, Neha shook her head, signaling her response.
Indha google, youtube recipe's ah follow panni na yethana thadava yemandhuruken theriyuma? Yenna irundhalum oruthavanga kitta kettu seira madhiri varadhu
( I have ended up with disasters because of these google and youtube recipes countless times, it never gets close to hearing it from a person)
(AN: my mom's dialogue🤣)
Keerthi rolled her eyes at Neha as she continued typing what Nirmala was saying.
Ama yedhuku indha recipe? Anything special?
( Oh why is this for? Anything special?)
Nirmala slyly asked, her tone laced with curiosity. Both Neha and Keerthi exchanged a knowing glance, instantly recognizing Nirmala's subtle attempt to coax any new information out of Neha. They both smiled, silently acknowledging the playful probing.
Innum rendhu varathula Siddharth'oda race varudhu, adhunala chumma special ah yedhachum panlanu nenachen
( Siddharth's race is coming in a couple weeks, so I thought I could make something special for him)
Ohh hooo
Keerthi teased Neha, Nirmala wished Neha luck and hung up.
Karthik slowly turned his narrowed eyes towards Neha, clearly suspicious. Neha caught his gaze and sheepishly smiled at him.
Unakum dhan
( I'll make some for you too)
Karthik shrugged his shoulders and turned his attention back to the TV, dismissing any suspicion. Neha smiled at his innocence and couldn't resist pinching his cheek before continuing to feed him. Their friendship had blossomed over time, but as Karthik had sternly explained to Neha, they were just friends-not best friends. He made sure to emphasize this point, mainly because she had managed to help him escape the dreaded hospital food. Neha found his insistence both cute and endearing, though she couldn't help but notice how true his words were-she was indeed growing more attached to him.
As the days passed, Neha realized that her life was slowly revolving around Karthik. Her entire household had adapted to his needs, and the changes were subtle but significant. Every morning, Siddharth and Neha would wake up early to prepare food together, specifically for Karthik. This small ritual had become a bonding moment for the couple, even though their minds were preoccupied with the little boy. After her shift ended, Neha would go home, have dinner, and then return to the hospital with Siddharth on his bike, staying by Karthik's side until he fell asleep. This routine had become second nature to them, though they never openly acknowledged it.
