Siddharth woke up to the soft beeping of the alarm. He yawned and turned it off before glancing to his side. Neha was peacefully asleep, her head resting on his arm and her back against his chest. Beside her, Karthik slept soundly, clutching her hand, with a pillow placed on his other side as a makeshift barrier.

Siddharth couldn't help but smile at the scene before him. The couple had decided to sleep in Karthik's room, right beside him, for his first night home. They wanted to be there for him, not ready to leave him alone just yet.

Though Karthik pretended to be fine, Neha and Siddharth could see that the drastic changes were overwhelming for him, especially when paired with his physical recovery. He was adjusting to a new environment, a new family, and the emotional toll of it all was evident, even if he didn't say it.

Understanding this, the couple was committed to being by his side every step of the way. They knew that their presence, love, and support were what he needed most during this vulnerable time.

Siddharth softly kissed Neha's forehead, careful not to wake her, before gently shifting her head to rest on the pillow. He placed a pillow on his side of the bed and adjusted the one next to Karthik, ensuring the boy was snug and comfortable. After one last glance at his sleeping family, he quietly slipped out of bed to start the day.

Siddharth had a race today, and even though he expected to feel nervous, surprisingly, he didn't. Maybe it was because he'd finally found peace at home. The thought of returning to a place where his wife's love for him remained constant, no matter what, soothed something deep within him. That love grounded him, gave him strength, and made him better in every aspect of his life—including his career. Whatever challenges he faced, he knew that coming home would always restore him.

His career had once been an obsession, something he believed he had to safeguard at all costs, chasing the thrill with relentless focus. But Neha changed that. She made him see that when he was obsessed, even the smallest hurdle felt insurmountable. However, when he embraced his job for the pure thrill of it and acknowledged the love he had for what he did, even the biggest challenges seemed manageable. She taught him that overcoming obstacles wasn't the goal—winning was never the point. It was about finding joy in the journey, regardless of the outcome.

And Neha made Siddharth understand. Therefore today's win will be hers.
