After two hours she knew they had gotten home. She wondered why Petunia hadn't questioned her absence when she suddenly remembered Petunia always went to Cora's house from the 20th to the 23rd.
She was thinking over all the ways something could go wrong when an old lady walked up to her.
"Hello dear, why are you out here alone?"
"My parents forgot to pick me up and I don't have money for the payphone."
"Oh, you pore girl. Here use this and call your parents." she said handing y/n a few quarters.
"Thank you."
She was about to call her house when she changed her mind and dialled Cora's number.
"Hello?"
"Hey is this Cora?"
"y/n?"
"Yea, uhm my parents forgot to pick me up, they left with lily so i called here cuz you guys live closer to kings cross. Can your mom come pick me up?"
"Yeah hang on. we'll be there soon."
"Thanks."
"It's fine."
They got to kings cross in twenty minutes. She got in the car and Petuna pulled her into a hug.
"How long were you sitting there?"
"Two hours before I called. I didn't have any quarters, an old lady gave me some."
She stayed at Cora's with Petunia until the 23rd.
