Jennie

I yawn once again and let out a sigh, settling into the passenger seat of Jisoo's car.

My girlfriend practically begged me to come with her to meet Soojoo. She didn't want to meet Soojoo alone and asked me to accompany her.

I'm very angry that I woke up at dawn to be able to make this trip of just a few hours because I took the flight late at night right after getting off work, Jisoo picked me up at the airport and we slept for a short time.

"I still can't believe it, that Soojoo wanted you to go to Miyeon's city just to meet in person. She has to be joking." I say irritated and Jisoo just shakes her head in agreement. "Did you know that after we got back, she hardly talked to me?"

"Yes, she already complained to me that after you graduated, you only spoke to her to complain about something and generally it was something very futile." She shrugs and I look at her.

"What?! She kept talking about me to you?!" I'm outraged.

"Not exactly, but the last time she talked about you, before we got back, she said that you only talked to her to complain about being sick or about some futility." Jisoo bites her lower lip and gives me an apologetic smile.

"I think I'm more irritated because we couldn't have sex because we had to wake up early." I cross my arms.

"Sorry to get you involved in this." she sighs "But I really didn't want to meet Soojoo without you being with me."

"Why?" I watch her.

"Firstly, it's in Miyeon's city and since I'm unlucky I'm very likely to meet her, I didn't want you to think I'm tricking you or something." Jisoo says calmly, but I can feel the fear in her tone of voice "Second, I don't feel comfortable meeting her in person without you being with me."

"If you met that bitch, I don't even know what I would be able to do to you, Jisoo."

"I know, love, that's why I begged you to come." she sighs "I need to apologize too."

"For what?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"Soojoo was a little incredulous when I said you would come with me. She wished I had come to town yesterday and rented a room for the weekend, I told her I would do a round trip because you were going to be with me and we didn't want to stay here."

"And?"

"She said you were toxic. In her mind, you control me and are so jealous that you are coming along to watch me, and there is no reason to worry."

"I don't mind her thinking like that, you can blame me whenever you want."

"I didn't do the right thing, but I didn't want to spend my money staying in this city, much less spend a lot of time with her, but I also don't like her thinking you're toxic because you're not like that. I don't accept anyone saying anything about you, Jennie."

"I know." I rest my hand on the back of her head and caress slowly "But I really don't care, it's not your fault for not wanting to spend a lot of time with her, not the way she wants. I wouldn't let it happen without me anyway."

"I'm glad it worked out for you to come." she smiles and I feel Jisoo relax a little "Thank you for being here and keeping me company."

"I will always be with you." Jisoo opens a bigger smile when she hears me.

"You knew that Soojoo has a friend who does strange things together, right? Have I told you this gossip?" she says after some time.

"Define strange things."
