Jisoo
"I can't believe we're going to spend the day together!" Soojoo hugs me tightly as soon as we meet. "Do you already know where we are going to have lunch, dinner, etc.?"
"Dinner?" I frown as I look at her "We're not going to dinner, I need to leave by 5 pm."
"Why?" she pouts.
"Jennie gets home around 7pm and she's scheduled a dinner with some of her friends, besides, I need to be there to welcome Kuma when he gets home from daycare." I shrug. It's okay that I'm lying, but I'm not going to stop going home early to wait for my girlfriend to get home from work to have dinner with Soojoo, we're going to spend the day together.
One thing I've discovered about spending days with Jennie is that there's no better feeling than sitting on the couch when she gets home. I don't even mind her being sweaty. The hug is so nice and intense that the only thing that matters is that she arrived.
That's what I want for my life. I want this routine every day. I want to see this woman come home from work and hug her, shower her with kisses. Squeezing my mandu's cheeks and shouting how much I missed her throughout the day.
"Jisoo?!" Soojoo's voice catches my attention and I blink a few times before looking at her.
"Yeah?" I scratch my chin.
"What do we do? Have you programmed something?" the anxiety in the tone of his voice is palpable.
"Yes, I thought we would walk a little, have coffee in a nice place." I try to go over the plan in my mind so I don't forget any details "Let's go to some shops, have lunch and visit some museums. What do you think?" I give a brief smile and she nods her head in agreement.
"What kind of shop do you want to visit?" the brunette says as we walk and look for a cafe.
"For oriental products, I want to buy some things that are difficult to find where I live." I shrug and Soojoo points to a coffee shop sign that 'prints' the photo you choose on the foam of your coffee. "That's cool, let's go!"
I pull her towards the coffee shop while I take out my phone to choose the photo I want in my coffee. There are so many options that it is difficult to choose.
"Have you decided on your photo yet?" Soojoo asks me with interest and I just nod my head while sending the photo to the coffee shop staff.
"Yes, a photo of me and Jennie." I give a wide smile when looking at her "What?" I furrow my eyebrows when I see her so incredulous.
"I thought that due to your astronomical ego you would put a photo of you and not you and Jennie." She looks away.
"It's much cooler to see a photo of me and my girlfriend in the cafe than just me. I can see my face at any time." I shrug and they call my name. I get up and get the cappuccino, observing the quality of the work "It looks great! I'm going to take several photos of this drink to send to Jennie." I sit down again and feel like Soojoo is watching me. "What photo did you choose?"
"One from me and my friend, she'll think it's cool."
"And then you talk about me" I roll my eyes and start laughing "It's even sad to ruin this perfection."
"What you mean?" She furrows her eyebrows.
"You choosing a photo of you and your friend, while I chose a photo of me and my girlfriend." I shake my head in denial and take a sip of my drink "Wonderful, I need to bring Jennie here some day."
"What do you mean?"
"That you have a very strange friendship." I say it as if it were obvious "If I had a friendship like that, Jennie would kill me."
"There's nothing special about my friendship, besides, Jennie is a little toxic, she's jealous of everything, even me." Soojoo uses an indignant tone.
"Yes, I find her way fascinating." I give an idiotic smile when thinking about Jennie and let out a sigh. Soojoo seems to give up on debating and just gets up to get her drink when they call her name.
After spending the day following the schedule I had made, I buy several small treats for Jennie and receive several 'disapproving' looks from Soojoo. According to her, I need to live a little and forget for a few moments that Jennie exists.
I just agree with her and continue doing what I was already doing because there is nothing and no one that will come between me and Jennie again, besides, I don't care about Soojoo's comments.
"I'm leaving on sunday and you?" she says while I'm ordering the Uber to leave.
"Me too." I look up at her.
"We won't meet any day?" She pouts and furrows her eyebrows.
"Tomorrow is Jennie's day off and I don't know what she has planned, all I know is that we are going to the cinema to watch Barbie on saturday." I shrug.
"You and Jennie?" she says and I just nod my head in agreement while I see how long my car has been. "I'll go with you then, it will be great to spend this time together."
"Wait, what?" I look at her without believing what I just heard.
"I'll go with you and Jennie to watch Barbie, tell her to send me the details."
"What?!" I think I'm deaf. There is no logic to this happening.
"Which cinema are we going to and the number off the seats do you have, tell Jennie to send me." Soojoo hugs me tightly and I blink a few times "My car is arriving, see you saturday, Jichu!"
