Jennie

I don't know if I'm more irritated with Jisoo for not standing up or with Soojoo for being so clueless. How do you include yourself in something that no one clearly invited you to do?

Even now I can't really believe that I'll have to put up with Soojoo and her cousin in something that I had planned to be just me and Jisoo. As a way of making this a group thing, I asked my friend Mino to go with us and I even bought his ticket so I would have someone else to support me during the next few hours.

I just don't fight with my girlfriend anymore because from the look of sadness on her face, she's not that much to blame.

"The day you and Soojoo went out together, how did she act?" I raise one of my eyebrows at Jisoo who seems to have been taken by surprise by my question.

"Normal? I mean, she was more talkative." Jisoo shrugs "I almost didn't need to talk because she was talking the whole time, she seemed excited."

"Did she keep sticking you?" I squint at her.

"No, the only person who stickes me is you, she didn't even try to stay close or anything like that." Jisoo says calmly.

"Good, I thought she was trying to get at you" I shake my head in denial "What do you use that phone for so much?" I question when Jisoo pulls her hand from mine to type something.

"Soojoo is bothering me all the time, wanting to know where we are, if it will take us a while to get there." she rubs her own forehead "I hate this." I look at her and let out a sigh. My girlfriend is extremely organized and planned, hates delays and hates this type of control that others try to place on her.

"Did she manage to buy her seats in the same row as us?"

"No, it was already full, she bought it two rows below us and was still complaining about it."

"What she said?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"That she wanted to sit nearby so she could comment on the film and that it's our fault for taking so long to share the information with her." Jisoo says in a fearful tone.

"She wasn't even supposed to go along, besides, you know I hate people talking to me during the movie, I like paying attention to what's happening." I say irritated and run my hand over my face. I feel like I'm a time bomb ready to explode at any moment.

"Sorry." She rubs my back and I sigh heavily. "I didn't think she would invite herself, I'm not used to people like that, generally, people understand when a program is about a couple and don't interfere."

"Obviously, because people are sensible." I roll my eyes.

"Yeah, if Lisa told me she was going to do something with Rosé, I would never include myself in her plans because it's something they would do together, especially because if Lisa wanted me together she would have invited me."

"YES!" I say alteredly as the Uber driver parks at the entrance of the shopping mall we are going to. "Sorry." I say to the driver who seems to have been scared by my sudden outburst. "God will have to give me a lot of patience today."

"Is Mino already coming? There are just over 30 minutes left until the session begins." Jisoo looks at her watch as she gets out of the car and I'm barely able to respond when I see Soojoo coming towards us. She seems to have some kind of GPS installed on Jisoo to know exactly where we were. I take a deep breath as I turn to her and try to force my most political smile.

"I believe so, we're going to buy the popcorn now because the queue must be long." I say to Jisoo who just takes my hand and intertwines our fingers "Hey to you." I use the most political tone I can when facing Soojoo and her cousin.

"Hi! You took so much time." she says and seems to want to hug Jisoo, but my girlfriend remains by my side and squeezes my hand gently.

"The traffic was bad and the driver was a little slow." Jisoo shrugs "So, how are you? Let's go to the cinema, we want to buy popcorn." She starts to walk and pull me with her "Have you visited the mall yet? I never came here."

"No, Soojoo was so anxious for you to arrive soon that we couldn't even walk." her cousin says and I bite my lower lip to avoid saying that they shouldn't even be here.

As we go up the escalators towards the cinema, Jisoo stands behind me and I notice that Soojoo is very close to her. There's no need for her to be that close to my girlfriend and I get angrier than I already was.

The line for popcorn is long and Jisoo starts to get restless because she loves watching the trailers, but so far, there's no sign of Mino. He just texted me saying he was coming.

This day is going from bad to worse, but much worse than I had imagined.

It's been almost 10 minutes since the session started, most people have already entered and I sit on a sofa right in front of the living room. Soojoo looked like a needy puppy as she was always around Jisoo wanting her attention while my girlfriend is irritated because Mino is late.

"Will he take long? I wanted to see the trailers." Jisoo stands in front of me and I look up to look at her.

"I don't know." I pass my hand over my face trying to ignore Soojoo and her cousin.

"Look, I think the session is full, why don't you go in and get comfortable? As soon as Jennie's friend arrives, we'll go too." my girlfriend uses the most political and gentle tone she has.

"Yeah, Jooya, let's go in and get comfortable, the movie has already started and we're sitting far away from them anyway." I thank God when I hear Soojoo's cousin being a sensible person.

"Oksy, see you soon!" Soojoo waves goodbye. I decide to call Mino to find out where he was, but the call ends.

"I know you hate being late and I was trying to call him." I let out a sigh and take Jisoo's hand. I can feel the nervous vibrations emanating from her. When she looks away from the hallway and turns to me, I see her confused expression.

"I came to stay with you." Soojoo says and I can't help but roll my eyes. Before Jisoo even opened her mouth to answer me, this creature is already here again, disturbing me from talking and resolving things with my girlfriend.

"You can go inside, we're already on our way." Jisoo says and sighs, passing her hand over her face.

"Why can't you go in and leave him behind?" she pouts.

"Because I have his ticket and we all need to go through it together." I say it as if it were obvious.

"I'm anxious." Soojoo insists. "You know I'm anxious and restless, I can't sit there while you're here."

"So you're going to be anxious in there." I say without realizing it and I see Soojoo's surprised look at me. She looks away at Jisoo who has her eyebrows furrowed, clearly not knowing what to do. I think she's waiting for Jisoo to say something to defend her, but Jisoo just stares at me and Soojoo gives up, making her way back into the movie theater.

"Jen!" I hear Mino's voice and Jisoo lets go of my hand. I hope she's not mad at me for the way I spoke to Soojoo. "Sorry for the delay, the subway..."

"We come? The film has already started." Jisoo says in a cold and harsh tone, leaving Mino and me surprised.

"Yes." I get up and walk behind Mino while Jisoo follows behind us.

'What's going on with her?" he turns to me and whispers when he sees that Jisoo is a certain distance away from us.

"She hates delays and wanted to see the trailers."

"Where's the clueless friend?" He gives me a quick look before going up the stairs.

"She's here, you have no idea what chaos it is today." I can't help but get irritated by everything that has happened.

I was wrong to think that things couldn't get any worse because Jisoo spent the entire movie silent and quiet in her corner. I know she's irritated by Mino's delay, so I decide not to approach her. She just eats popcorn and keeps her eyes focused on the screen, without barely looking at me every now and then.

I even asked her what was happening and she said it was nothing.

I let out a sigh and just hope this day ends soon.
