Chapter 12

"Finally you're back!" I hug Hoeyon tightly as soon as she appears in the room, still rubbing her eyes and yawning.

"My God, I've never been so welcomed back as I'm now."

"I NEED to talk to someone." I pull her to the sofa and force her to sit down.

"What did you do, Jen?" she seems to finally wake up when she hears me.

"Here's the thing, there's someone who said they like me and seem very dedicated to getting involved with me, but I just don't know what to do."

"Is that the nurse? Kai?"

"No, thank God."

"I didn't understand anything, but talk to the person, you really don't like contact." she shrugs.

"Exactly, the person realized that I'm closed off and I don't really like these things, like feelings."

"Is this someone you spend time with on a daily basis?"

"For some reason the person is very interested and I'm getting more and more confused" I frown at the thought of Jisoo waking up at dawn to wait for me "And no, I don't live with her, unfortunately, I mean, it's a shame, I think I wanted to her close by."

"Jen, I really like gossip" Hoeyon stares at me "GIVE ME DETAILS!"

"Look, Jen, if she apparently remains interested even though she knows that you're not a big fan of talking about feelings, she's also aware that even in a supposed relationship with you, you'll continue like that, right?" she says seriously and I shake my head in agreement "Now if she thinks she can change you in any way, she doesn't deserve you."

"What do you mean?" Hoeyon looks at me like I'm crazy.

"She's a person I met on the internet and things are going fast, very fast."

"On the internet people are a bit desperate, but talk to that person if you feel that she or he are advancing the signal" Hoyeon pauses "And you have to analyze whether you want it, if you don't want it, make it clear at once, but If you want and think it's too fast, ask things to evolve more slowly so you can assimilate everything."

"This is all so... strange." I pout.

"Now if that person knows you don't want it and still wants you, it's very simple: it's her problem" Hoeyon smiles evilly and I laugh "I hope something made sense since you don't tell me the story for complete." she rolls her eyes, scolding me "Mysterious Jen."

"It made a lot of sense" I say after a few minutes "That's exactly it, but I think I'm finding it strange because maybe I want to give it a chance."

"YES, FINALLY! YOU'LL DATE SOMEONE!!!" she celebrates and I glare at her.

"But as I've never had direct contact, it's something strange." I decide to ignore her celebration "And for the record, this is why I don't share my things. That's your exaggerated reactions." I roll my eyes.

"I was kidding!!!" she pouts. "But if you're ever willing to talk, I'm always available." I start laughing at this gossipy side of Hoyeon. "Tell me some details, name, gender, city, age, I'm very curious, Jenjen."

"I'm not obliged." I cross my arms "But that person is a woman and a few years older than me, be content with that."

"Huh, now it makes sense, because she understood you as well." She nods her head in agreement.

"Yes, because man is a piece of shit."

"Yes, no man is any good, but good luck on this ride."

"Of course, the only guy who understood me was V, but he left me to go to another state, even though his new girlfriend looks like me" I say thoughtfully "Okay, I'm not rancorous."

"He clearly has a type." the brunette starts to laugh as soon as she realizes that I said I'm not rancorous.

"I'm over it." I take the phone and show the part of the conversation with Jisoo admitting that she likes me to Hoyeon. The fact that she's an actress is sometimes irritating because I can't know what she's thinking since she has this neutral expression "See? I was honest with her."

"Now I get it" she gives a satisfied smile "She was very direct, she's sure of what she wants, I thought it was wonderful because nowadays it's very difficult to find someone like that, and that's why you should be scared, it's okay, Jen, there's still the fact everything is online and it could be very different for you."

"That must be it, but all things leave me intrigued."

"What things? Has she heard a song she hates for you? I thought it was cute."

"Everything leaves me intrigued." I say it as if it were obvious.

"Were you intrigued by why she said she liked you and wanted dating you?" Hoeyon says with one of his eyebrows raised.

"Yes."

"You're clearly not used to these things, but that's great, people who make things clear are great." She opens a wide smile "You two seem to be very transparent, so if it's meant to happen, it will happen, and if it's not, one won't keep stringing the other along... but why did you dump her?"

"It's not often that someone has the courage to overcome this barrier that I set."

"And she couldn't get through? This is not good? You're just scared, that's all, Jen."

"Liking someone is something very complex, but when both people want it and are transparent, you just let it go, without looking for meaning or explanation." she says as if it were simple.

"Who said I want it? I'm analyzing." I cross my arms and my expression closes.

"Huh, I remembered that I mentioned that I knew how to sing and now she's begging for an audio of me singing so she can be more gay.' I roll my eyes.

"And why aren't you gay too?" Hoeyon starts laughing.

"Because I'm angry and I have an image to maintain."

"But you really know how to sing and stop caring about this bullshit image."

"I don't know why people like my voice."

"I'm one of your biggest fans, but my advice is this: stop thinking, you do it too much and not everything in life needs an explanation. Go play Kart Rider when you start thinking, to occupy your head, and let the emotion guide you a little."

"But my head is already busy thinking."

"You keep thinking nonsense and this creates problems where there are none." she rests her hands on my shoulders, speaking seriously "If you want the woman, just let everything happen naturally, unless she lives on the other side of the country, then there are some questions because you really have to be thought about."

"She lives almost on the other side of the country" I roll my eyes.

"Do you only trust people from other states besides me?" She narrows her eyes and I shrug "You really have problems with trust." the brunette starts to laugh.

"But what about my career?" I pout.

"Career always comes first." she lightly slaps my forehead "But talk to her because this long-distance relationship thing is very complicated, whatever, she can go with you wherever you want to go to start your career."

"Well..." I keep thinking about her words.

"Follow my advice and put your account at risk, I have never had anything serious with anyone and this advices is taken from the voices in my head." She shrugs and I start to laugh.
